Then, having emerged from there, facing north, we went on and on until we reached a thorn forest and saw a city with a black iron fence. As we went there and entered, the city gate closed immediately. Looking up at the fence, it became high, and eventually a terrifying sound was heard. While staying there, I wondered what this was. I saw a person with a sword wheel spinning and cutting his head, and I was frightened. I asked, "Hey, what is this person?" The person who was a hell-being said, "This is a temporary hell-being." Maitreya Offering asked, "What sinful deed have you done?" He said, "In Jambudvipa, there is a city called Kosali. I was also there, becoming the son of a caravan leader. Surrounded by five hundred friends, I went to a large food garden. Those friends said, 'Your father is a caravan leader, and our fathers also go to other places and do business and so on. If we also look at the gold mines and the island of Simhala and other islands, we will also go to other places with you as our leader.' They listened to this and went home and asked their mother, 'I am going to board a ship and go to another place.' My mother said, 'Son, your father also boarded a ship from the sea and went to another place, and then passed away. Son, you are also the only one left, and the house is full of wealth, so don't go.'
