will be happy. Here, a hero who defeats enemies a hundred times, Conquering miserliness as an enemy, Whoever gives with a mind free from attachment, I say that they are the most courageous. The ripening of merit is happiness, Excellent contemplation leads to wealth, Quickly pacifying the sublime, One will attain Nirvana (Sanskrit, Nirvana, Romanized Sanskrit, Nirvana, literal Chinese meaning: extinction). Those who perform meritorious deeds, Harm from others and all, Deities and hosts of demons, Cannot create obstacles. If it is for the sake of ending suffering, Noble ones and those who give wisdom, If they strive diligently, They will surely attain direct realization. The mind is well-tamed and very peaceful, Those who delight in Dharma obtain happiness, In the Dharmas spoken by the noble ones, The wise always rejoice. Whoever's mind delights in meditation, Whoever delights in the unborn, The four mindfulnesses and the seven branches of enlightenment, And the four miraculous feet, Whichever of the eightfold path one delights in, Those who wear Dharma robes, Easily eat alms in happiness. Those mountains and forests, They dwell and walk in happiness, Those who easily obtain happiness, They pass into Nirvana in the present Dharma. Anger and fear are all passed, Transcending the desire for worldly lands, Hearing the Dharma and seeing the Dharma, Delighting in solitude is happiness. To all sentient beings in the world, Non-harming, properly subduing, That is truly obtaining happiness. Forever surpassing all desires, Separated from worldly attachments, Subduing pride and arrogance, That is truly obtaining supreme happiness. Holding precepts in old age is happiness, Steadfast faith is happiness, Delighting in meaningful words is happiness, Not committing sins is happiness. In this world, grasping pleasure, Likewise, abandoning is also grasping pleasure, In this world, grasping the ascetic is pleasure, Likewise, grasping the Brahmin is pleasure. The arising of the Buddhas is happiness, Likewise, the teaching of the Dharmas is happiness, The harmony of the Sangha is happiness, The asceticism of harmony is happiness. Seeing those who hold precepts is happiness, Hearing extensively is happiness, Those who are completely liberated from rebirth, Seeing the Arhats is happiness. It is pleasant to see the wise, it is pleasant to associate with the noble, if one does not see the foolish, then it is always pleasant. Associating with the foolish, who are like enemies in every way, is painful, and associating with the foolish, one will regret it for a long time. Wise people are rare, they are not found everywhere. Associating with the steadfast is pleasant, like meeting relatives. Wherever a steadfast person is born, his family obtains happiness. Brahmins who have passed into Nirvana, are happy in every way. Whoever is not stained by desire, is taintless and completely liberated, cutting off all craving, completely removing disease from the heart. Those who have attained peace of mind, approach peace and dwell in happiness. Whoever desires vast happiness, and desires to give up small happiness, the steadfast, having abandoned small happiness, clearly sees vast happiness. Whether it is the pleasure of worldly desires, or the happiness of the heavenly realm, it is not worth even one-sixteenth of the happiness of the exhaustion of craving. Because suffering is taken on by burdens, if the burden is abandoned, then it becomes happiness. If the burden of the five aggregates is definitely abandoned, then one will not take on other burdens later. In order to exhaust all bonds, completely abandon all craving. If one fully understands all the aggregates, there is no going to the next existence. It is pleasant to have friends when discussing matters, it is pleasant to have merit when life is fully invested, it is pleasant to be content with just a little, it is pleasant that all suffering will surely cease. Just as here, a burning fire, struck by an iron hammer, gradually approaches peace, just as one does not know where it has gone. Crossing the muddy swamp of desire, having obtained an immovable position, and those who are well liberated, their going is immeasurable. Whoever has no turmoil within, whoever is turned away from craving and non-craving, they are fearless, happy and without sorrow, even the gods cannot see and contemplate them. Here, those who have heard much Dharma, realized and have nothing, how happy they are! People are deeply attached to their bodies, look at those who have lost their small existence!
