Having recognized this as "This is the Buddha," one is endowed with faith. The Dharma of the Blessed One is well-proclaimed, directly visible, without disease, timeless, leading onwards, something to be personally realized by the wise. That is to say: it makes one without increase, thoroughly pacifies desire, skillfully destroys all foundations, cuts off the stream of paths, desire is exhausted, without attachment, cessation, nirvana. Having recognized this as "This is the Dharma," one is endowed with faith. The Blessed One's community of hearers is well-entered, entered according to reason, entered uprightly, entered harmoniously, entered according to the Dharma of the Dharma, practicing according to the Dharma. Within the community, there are also those who have entered in order to directly realize the fruit of stream-entry. Within the community, there are also stream-enterers. Within the community, there are also those who have entered in order to directly realize the fruit of once-returning. Within the community, there are also once-returners. Within the community, there are also those who have entered in order to directly realize the fruit of non-returning. Within the community, there are also non-returners. Within the community, there are also those who have entered in order to directly realize the fruit of Arhatship. Within the community, there are also Arhats. That is to say: four pairs of persons, eight types of individuals. The Blessed One's community of hearers is such that it is perfect in faith, perfect in discipline, perfect in learning, perfect in concentration, perfect in wisdom, perfect in liberation, perfect in the wisdom and vision of liberation, worthy of all offerings, worthy of special offerings, worthy of offerings with folded hands, worthy of worship, the unsurpassed field of merit, the place of giving in the world.

Completed. Praised by the wise, not reviled by the wise, these are the four limbs of entering the stream. Monks, what are the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One? Monks, the Thus-Gone One knows what is possible as it is, and knows what is impossible as it is. This is the first power of the Thus-Gone One. He knows the past, the future, and the present actions, and their ripening, as they are. He knows the various inclinations of other beings as they are. He knows the various realms of the world with its many realms as they are. He knows the superior and inferior faculties of other beings as they are. He knows the path that leads everywhere as it is. He knows the defilements and purifications of the faculties, powers, limbs of enlightenment, meditations, liberations, samadhis, and attainments of other beings as they are. With aspects, with places, with causes, he remembers many former abodes. He remembers even one birth. He remembers two, three, four, up to hundreds of thousands of millions of births, and should be explained extensively. With the pure, superhuman divine eye, he sees beings dying and being born in good or bad destinies due to good or bad conduct of body, speech, and mind, and should be explained extensively. Knowing that the defilements are exhausted by right knowledge, and that the mind is liberated from the defilements, he knows it as it is. Monks, these are the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One. What are the four fearlessnesses of the Thus-Gone One? For example, the Blessed One claims to have attained perfect and complete enlightenment. In this, the world with its gods, demons, and Brahmas, and the ascetics,

No one among the Brahmins, gods, humans, asuras, or any beings, will truly see any sign refuting you, saying that you have not fully realized these dharmas. The Tathagata, having not seen any sign of refutation, attains bliss, abides in fearlessness, and vows to be in the supreme position. Entering the assembly, he truly roars the lion's roar, and no ascetic, Brahmin, or anyone else will righteously turn the Brahma wheel that has never been turned in the world. Moreover, those dharmas that the Tathagata has said to cause obstacles, even if practiced, will not cause obstacles. Here, the term "here" has been elaborated. Furthermore, if someone practices the noble path of definite departure that you have taught, even if they practice the path you have taught, it will not be a definite departure for the sake of completely extinguishing suffering. Here, the term "here" has also been elaborated. "I have exhausted the outflows," regarding the promise I have made, here, whether it is the world with gods, with demons, with Brahma, or among the beings with ascetics, Brahmins, with gods, humans, and asuras, no one will truly see any sign of refutation, saying that these defilements have not been completely exhausted. The Tathagata, having not seen any sign of refutation, attains bliss, abides in fearlessness, and vows to be in the supreme position. Entering the assembly, he truly roars the lion's roar, and no ascetic or Brahmin, no one will righteously turn the Brahma wheel that has never been turned in the world. These are the four fearlessnesses. What are the four individual perfect knowledges of the Tathagata? Namely: individual perfect knowledge of meaning, individual perfect knowledge of dharma, individual perfect knowledge of terms, and individual perfect knowledge of eloquence. These are the four individual perfect knowledges. What are the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha? The Tathagata has no error, no clamor, no forgetfulness, no non-absorption, and no various different thoughts.
