The Tathagata's pure body is manifested by practicing the ten virtuous paths without weariness in the past. The Tathagata's neck is like a conch shell, which is manifested by giving various medicines to the sick in the past. The Tathagata's cheeks are like a lion, which is manifested by perfectly completing the roots of virtue in the past. The Tathagata's forty even teeth are manifested by treating sentient beings equally in the past. The Tathagata's well-arranged teeth are due to taming hundreds of thousands of sentient beings in the past. The Tathagata's extremely white teeth are due to giving extremely pleasing things in the past. Even teeth are achieved by protecting oneself from body, speech, and mind in the past. The Tathagata's extremely long tongue is achieved by truthfully guarding truthful words in the past. The Tathagata's possession of the best taste is achieved by showing oneself with immeasurable merit and giving it to others in the past. The Tathagata's Brahma voice and the sound of the Kalaviṅka bird are achieved by speaking gentle words to sentient beings and making them hear all pleasant words in the past. The Tathagata's deep blue eyes are due to truly protecting sentient beings with loving-kindness in the past. The eyelashes like a bull king are due to having no false thoughts in the past. Thin skin is manifested by being able to truly collect the Dharma in the past. The Tathagata's skin color like gold is manifested by giving bedding, cushions, and pleasing clothes in the past. The Tathagata's one hair per pore is manifested by completely abandoning noise in the past. The Tathagata's hair swirling upwards to the right is achieved by following the teachings of the Khenpo, Acharya, and spiritual friends in the past.

如来头发珍宝绀青色，此乃往昔慈爱众生之命，舍弃棍棒、杖、兵器所成就。如来眉间毫相间之额头毛发极为洁白，此乃往昔赞叹应赞叹者之赞颂所成就。如来头顶具发髻，此乃往昔恭敬上师所成就。如来身如尼拘律树般周匝量等，此乃往昔自他修持禅定所成就。如来身如无热恼大龙般一切时庄严，此乃往昔塑造如来身像，修缮破损佛塔，救护其他众生脱离怖畏所成就，以无量善根故，于此等法自在。如来三十二大丈夫相于身显现成就。何为八十随好？ 佛薄伽梵之指甲如铜色，指甲颜色润泽，指甲高，指甲皆圆，手指皆丰满，手指皆纤细，脉不显现，脉无纠结，踝不显现，足无不平，如狮子之步履行走，如象之步履行走，如鹅之步履行走，如牛王之步履行走，右旋而行，美妙行走，不行动摇，身躯圆润有光泽，身躯如擦拭般，身躯次第相称，身躯肢体宽广美好，相好圆满，步伐平稳，身躯洁净，身躯柔和，身躯极为清净，身躯无萎缩，身躯丰满，身躯极为紧致，肢节与支分极为明显，视线无昏花且极为清净，腰圆润，腰部适中，腰不弯曲，平坦，舌深长，舌右旋，一切时庄严。

The Tathagata's hair is as precious as lapis lazuli, which is accomplished by cherishing the lives of sentient beings in the past and abandoning sticks, staffs, and weapons. The extremely white hair on the forehead between the eyebrows of the Tathagata is accomplished by praising those who deserve praise in the past. The Tathagata's head is adorned with a topknot, which is accomplished by respecting the Guru in the past. The Tathagata's body is as wide as the Nyagrodha tree, which is accomplished by practicing Samadhi for oneself and others in the past. The Tathagata's body is always beautiful like the great Naga of No-Heat, which is accomplished by making images of the Tathagata in the past, repairing broken stupas, and rescuing other beings from fear. Because of immeasurable roots of virtue, one has power over these Dharmas. The thirty-two major marks of a great man of the Tathagata are manifestly accomplished on the body. What are the eighty minor marks? The nails of the Buddha Bhagavan are like the color of copper, the nails are glossy in color, the nails are high, the nails are all round, the fingers are all full, the fingers are all slender, the veins are not visible, the veins are without knots, the ankles are not visible, the feet are without unevenness, walking like a lion, walking like an elephant, walking like a goose, walking like a bull king, walking turning to the right, walking beautifully, walking without moving, the body is round and lustrous, the body is like being wiped clean, the body is in proper order, the body's limbs are wide and beautiful, the marks are completely perfect, the steps are steady, the body is clean, the body is soft, the body is extremely pure, the body is without shrinking, the body is full, the body is extremely tight, the limbs and parts are extremely distinct, the vision is without dimness and extremely pure, the waist is round, the waist is moderate, the waist is not bent, flat, the tongue is deep and long, the tongue turns to the right, always beautiful.

These are the eighty minor marks of perfection.
