of consciousness, and the contact arising from the meeting of the eye is also burning completely, and the feeling arising internally due to the contact arising from the meeting of the eye, whether it is pleasant, painful, or neither pleasant nor painful, whatever arises, that is also burning completely. Monks, the ear, nose, tongue, body, mind, dharma, and the consciousness of the mind, and the contact arising from the meeting of the mind are also burning completely, and the feeling arising internally due to the contact arising from the meeting of the mind, whether it is pleasant, painful, or neither pleasant nor painful, whatever arises, that is also burning completely. With what is it burning completely? It is burning completely with the fire of desire, the fire of hatred, and the fire of ignorance, birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, displeasure, disturbance, that is, it is burning completely with suffering, so it is said. Regarding this, this is the miracle that the Blessed One followed and demonstrated. When this Dharma category was explained, those monks who had previously all become wearers of matted hair, without grasping, their minds were completely liberated from the defilements. Then, at the stupa on Gaya Head Mountain, all one thousand monks who had previously been wearers of matted hair all became Arhats, their defilements exhausted, their tasks completed, what was to be done had been done, their burdens cast off, they had attained their own benefit, all bonds to existence were completely exhausted, and with perfect knowledge, their minds were exceedingly well liberated, and they dwelt together. When people who subsisted on the essence of King Rupakaya's marrow were traveling, a youth of the Shakya clan appeared on the side of the Snow Mountains, on the banks of the Kalmala River with its abundant waters, at the abode of the sage Kapila, and not too far away. Those Brahmin diviners and astrologers said that if he were to become a householder and remain in the home, then he would become a Chakravartin king, endowed with Dharma, a king of Dharma, victorious in all four directions, endowed with the seven precious jewels. His seven precious jewels would be like these: the precious wheel, the precious elephant, the precious horse, the precious jewel, and the precious woman.
