Then, the Bodhisattva thought to himself: "If I have vowed not to eat human food, and the gods infuse the essence of the gods into all the pores of my skin, and I enjoy it, then I am lying. My lie is my falsehood. Because of my falsehood, some sentient beings here will break their bodies and die, fall into evil destinies and evil paths, and be born in the hells of sentient beings. Therefore, I shall abandon the words of the gods at all times, and eat little food, little drink, or drink green bean soup, or drink soybean soup, or drink the juice of haritaki fruit."
