Adorned with women and ornaments, you offer me the supreme enjoyment, your own lineage is spoken by Xia Yu. O king, near the snowy mountains, the land is filled with wealth and grain, known as Kosala. The sugarcane lineage, the solar race, the Shakyas dwell there. I, the king, am of royal lineage, I do not seek the meaning of desire. This land is connected to mountains and oceans, even if it possesses wealth filled with all treasures, people will never be satisfied, just like the trees in the Soga Tsa period. Desires are said to be connected with flesh and hatred. The sovereign is difficult to overcome, like a muddy swamp. The fear of suffering and sorrow is the root of evil, relied upon by evil minds. Even when I, the king, was just born, I developed a displeased mind towards desires, those who have become enemies of the terrifying Dharma, how can those who have been abandoned be taken back again? The mountain peaks, with their diverse and vast summits, the snowy mountains may be moved by the wind, but my mind relies on liberation, it cannot be shaken by the power of desire. This world is immersed in desire, completely wandering in the cycle of samsara, I, the sovereign, am the only protector, therefore, liberate them from great fear. Know the faults of desires, see the peace of Nirvana, for the sake of abandonment, my mind will go to the place of joy. King Image Heart asked, "O ascetic, what purpose does this ascetic practice serve?" He replied, "For the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment." The king asked, "O ascetic, when you attain the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment and become fully enlightened, please also remember me." The Bodhisattva replied, "Think of it that way." Having said that, he came out of the royal palace and went to the place where the hermits lived, not far from Vulture Peak Mountain. Then, through conduct and dwelling, he remained focused on meditation. When those people stood on one foot for a day, the Bodhisattva would sit for two sessions. If those people spend a day with the combination of the five afflictions

When he was dwelling there, the Bodhisattva also dwelt in two sessions with that method. Then, they developed a sense of wonder and said, 'This ascetic is a great one.' Thus, the name 'Great Ascetic, Great Ascetic' came to be. The Bodhisattva said to them, 'Wise ones, what do you seek with this ascetic practice?' Some of them replied, 'It is Indra himself.' Some replied, 'We are Brahma himself.' Some replied, 'We are Mara himself.' The Bodhisattva thought, 'These ascetics will fall again, they have entered a wrong path. This path cannot be known, cannot be seen, and cannot lead to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.' Then, the Bodhisattva, knowing that path to be powerless, went to where the son of Arada Kalama, Long Flyer, was, and having arrived, spoke thus to the son of Arada Kalama, Long Flyer: 'Long Flyer, if you have no discomfort, I will practice the pure life in your presence.' He said, 'Reverend Gautama, I have no discomfort, please dwell only in comfort.' The Bodhisattva said, 'Long Flyer, how many dharmas have you realized through your own direct knowledge?' He replied, 'Reverend Gautama, up to the sphere of nothingness.' Then the Bodhisattva thought to himself, 'I also have faith in the faith of the son of Arada Kalama, Long Flyer; and just as the son of Arada Kalama, Long Flyer, has diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom, I also have diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom. Since the son of Arada Kalama, Long Flyer, has directly realized so many dharmas up to the sphere of nothingness, why should I not also directly realize these dharmas?' Then, the Bodhisattva, in order to attain those dharmas that had not been attained, in order to realize what had not been realized, and in order to directly experience what had not been directly experienced, dwelt alone in seclusion, being mindful, diligent, and devoted to himself. Alone in seclusion, being mindful, diligent, and devoted to himself.

While abiding there, he quickly realized those dharmas. Having realized those dharmas, he went to where the son of Yoga Freedom, Long Flight, was, and having arrived, he said this to the son of Yoga Freedom, Long Flight: "Long Flight, have you realized these dharmas up to the realm of nothingness with your own direct knowledge?" He said this: "Venerable Gautama, yes, I have realized those dharmas up to the realm of nothingness." The Bodhisattva said: "Venerable Long Flight, I too have realized those dharmas up to the realm of nothingness with my own direct knowledge." "Venerable Gautama, if that is so, as much as you have, so much do I have; as much as I have, so much do you have. Therefore, in this matter, we are equal, alike, and the same. Having heard this, please come here. Let us two guide this retinue together." Then, the son of Yoga Freedom, Long Flight, as the Bodhisattva's first teacher, revered the Bodhisattva with the reverence of respect and honored him with the honor of offerings. And he rejoiced and was pleased with his realizations. Then, the Bodhisattva thought to himself: "This path cannot be known, cannot be seen, and cannot lead to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment." Then, the Bodhisattva, realizing that that path was incapable, went to where the son of Ramja, Excellent Conduct, was, and having arrived, he said this to the son of Ramja, Excellent Conduct: "Excellent Conduct, if you have no discomfort, I will practice the pure conduct in your presence." He replied: "Venerable Gautama, I have no discomfort, please abide as you please. How many dharmas have you realized?" "Venerable Gautama, up to the realm of neither perception nor non-perception." Then, the Bodhisattva thought to himself: "The son of Ramja, Excellent Conduct, has faith, and I too have faith in the son of Ramja, Excellent Conduct; the son of Ramja, Excellent Conduct, has diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom, and I too have diligence, mindfulness, and
