It was written. Then, seeing (the Bodhisattva) with a beautiful appearance and peaceful demeanor, he observed for a long time, and, filled with wonder, asked: "O, renunciant, is it not you alone?" The Bodhisattva replied: "Great ascetic, it is indeed so." Then, the son of Nganpong, with eyes wide with amazement, looked at the Bodhisattva, first invited the Bodhisattva to be seated, and offered flowers and fruits. In the incomparable city, there was a wealthy householder named "Rich in wealth and great in enjoyment," who had ten sons. All of them renounced and directly realized the Bodhi of Pratyekabuddha. When the old mother gave each of those great beings a garment of Shana cloth, they said: "Mother, please know! The son of King Zhas gtsang (净饭王, Śuddhodana), named Donyod Thamschad Drubpa (乔达摩·悉达多, Sarvarthasiddhi), having seen old age, sickness, and death, and with a mind full of weariness, went to the forest, and he will awaken to unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment. Therefore, we cannot dwell in the Buddha-field, and we will completely pass into Nirvana. Please offer this Shana cloth to the son of King Zhas gtsang (净饭王, Śuddhodana). That great being will realize unsurpassed wisdom, and you will also obtain great fruit." Having said this, they performed miracles of blazing, shining, raining, and emitting lightning, and then completely passed into Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder. That old woman, at the time of her death, entrusted those clothes to her daughter and told her all that had happened. Her daughter, also afflicted with illness and knowing that she was about to die, placed the clothes under a tree and prayed to the deity dwelling in that tree, saying: "Please offer these to the son of King Zhas gtsang (净饭王, Śuddhodana)." Indra, the lord of the gods, whose wisdom sees all, knowing this, took those clothes. Then, he manifested himself as an old hunter, distributed those clothes, and, holding a bow and arrow in his hand, sat on the road where the Bodhisattva was passing. The Bodhisattva also gradually

Walking along that path, he saw a hunter holding a bow and arrow, wearing a kasaya robe. Seeing him, he said to the man, 'Hey, the inner land's Sana robe is suitable for monks, take these Kashi cloth fragments and give me the Sana robe.' The man replied, 'Young man, others will say that you killed the young prince and stole these Kashi cloth clothes, which will cause me to die, so I cannot give you these.' The Bodhisattva said, 'Hey, inland man, the whole world knows how great my power is, who can kill me? Who would believe that you killed me, give it to me without worry.' Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, touched the Bodhisattva's feet, offered the Sana robe, and took the Kashi cloth fragments. The Bodhisattva's body and the Sana robe were not suitable. He thought to himself, 'Alas, the Sana robe should be suitable for my body.' As soon as he said this, the Sana robe became suitable for the Bodhisattva's body through the power of the Bodhisattvas and the power of the gods. Then, the Bodhisattva thought, 'Now that I have become a monk, I should gather sentient beings.' Then, the Bodhisattva gradually walked and arrived at Rajagriha. The Bodhisattva was proficient in crafts and industries, so he made a bowl from the leaves of the Kaniranjana tree and entered Rajagriha for alms with a peaceful demeanor. At that time, King Bimbisara was sitting on the base of the top floor, and he saw the Bodhisattva walking, returning, looking, looking around, contracting, stretching, wearing a kasaya robe, holding a bowl, and begging for alms with a solemn demeanor. Seeing this, he thought to himself, 'There are many monks living in Rajagriha, but none of them have such a demeanor as this monk.' Here it is said: Just as a sighted person walks, a monk...

I made a proclamation. After examining this, he truly approved of renunciation. Living at home is suffering, this is a place of dust, renunciation is like the sky. Knowing this, he then renounced. After renouncing, with his body he abandoned sinful deeds, and after abandoning sinful speech, he purified his life in every way. Then he went to Magadha, the excellent city of Rajagriha, the protector, mindful and with awareness, went there for alms. The skilled lord of Magadha, saw him dwelling in this high building. Having seen him, he thought, and then said this to the ministers: He is adorned with excellent marks, his limbs are complete, wherever he looks, wise people should look at him. His eyes do not lift, his mind is upright, this one is not born from a lowly lineage. Where will he go to dwell? The king sent messengers after him. Then he instructed the messengers: Where that monk goes, and where he dwells, follow him. When he goes for alms, after well closing the six doors, with awareness and mindfulness, he quickly filled his bowl. After begging for alms, the Sage came out of the city, and went to the rocks, and dwelt there. Having known that he had settled, one messenger stayed, and another quickly returned, and spoke these words to the king: Great king, that monk, like a lion or a tiger cub, dwells in the mountain caves, he dwells on the rocks. Having heard the words of the messengers, the lord of the earth mounted his chariot, surrounded by ministers, and quickly went there. Having ridden to the place where it was possible to travel by vehicle, he got off the vehicle, and went near on foot, and then saw the Thus-Gone-One. The king sat down and spoke pleasing and satisfying words, he was not arrogant or rude, he spoke these words well: Monk, you are in the prime of your youth, and dwell here, it is not fitting for someone with such majesty to beg for alms. And there are pleasant houses.
