Having gone to the place of giving, however many clothes and ornaments were all given away, with nothing left. She saw that the Bodhisattva still had a string of very beautiful and precious pearl necklaces left on his neck, and she was very happy about that, without any hesitation, she untied it herself, put it on her own neck, and then left the Bodhisattva's place. Then, King Śuddhodana thought to himself, this daughter is both dignified and steady, she will surely be able to comply with the young man's heart, and should marry her, so he took the famous woman's entourage of twenty thousand as the Bodhisattva's consort. King Śuddhodana said to the Bodhisattva: Go and see where the edge of the work is. Then, the Bodhisattva listened to King Śuddhodana's instructions, rode in a good chariot and went outside, to see the edge of his father King Śuddhodana's work, and went to those who were participating in the Bodhisattva's work edge. He saw five hundred plows plowing the fields, and those farmers were also pressing the plows and pulling, their strength almost exhausted, their heads and bodies covered with dust. Due to the torment of wind and drought, their bodies were rough and their complexions were unsightly. Their feet and hands were cracked, they were wearing tattered and dirty clothes, and their feet were also dirty. Due to hunger and thirst, their complexions were unsightly, and their eye sockets, cheeks, and corners of their eyes were dry. Those oxen also had their bodies torn by the sharp iron plowshares, their backs and tails covered with blood. Due to hunger and thirst, their breathing was rapid, and long breaths were drawn from deep within their chests, pus and blood flowed from the wounds pressed by the yokes, and flies and swarms of insects were eating them. The plowshares had wounded their feet, and saliva and mucus dripped from their mouths and noses, covered by long-beaked flies, flesh flies, and mosquitoes. He saw all these scenes. Having seen them, driven by the compassion arising from the merit accumulated from beginningless time, he spoke these words to the farmers: Wise ones, who do you belong to? They replied: We belong to the Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva said: Wise ones, from today onwards, you will no longer be slaves, you will no longer be driven.

Let those who are free go where they please, and abide in happiness. The farmers were also released, and (the Bodhisattva) said: From now on, may you eat the best grass that is not damaged, drink water that is free from dust and turbidity, and drink from pure springs. May cool breezes blow upon you from all four directions. Then, that Bodhisattva, whose mind was filled with joy, looked at the edge of his father, Shakya Shuddhodana's fields, and went to the shade of the Jambhu tree, which was oily, green, had thick leaves, and provided good shade, and sat in the shade of the Jambhu tree. He, detached from desire, detached from sinful and unwholesome dharmas, with investigation and analysis, entered into the first dhyana, which is born of detachment, filled with joy and pleasure, and like the uncontaminated. A great crowd of people also did not leave the Bodhisattva, but stayed near the other trees. King Shuddhodana thought: The Bodhisattva has been delayed for a long time, and now it is past noon, I should go and see him. So he got into his chariot and went to the village of the farmers, searching for the Bodhisattva, and went to the Jambhu tree. At that time, the sun had passed noon, and the shadows of the other trees were leaning towards the east, falling towards the east, and had fallen towards the east. But by the power of the Bodhisattva, the shadow of the Jambhu tree did not leave the Bodhisattva's body. King Shuddhodana saw that the sun had passed noon, and the shadows of the other trees were leaning towards the east, falling towards the east, and had fallen towards the east, but the shadow of the Jambhu tree did not leave the Bodhisattva's body. Having seen this, he thought: This youth has great miraculous powers and great strength. Now that the sun has passed noon, and the shadows of the other trees are leaning towards the east, falling towards the east, and have fallen towards the east, it is very wonderful that the shadow of the Jambhu tree does not leave the Bodhisattva's body. Then, he expressed his joy, kissed the Bodhisattva's feet, and said in verse: Just as the earth shook when you were born, the shadow of the Jambhu tree does not leave your body, O wise one, this is the second miracle!
