Those who view and speak in such a way, expressing and being expressive, saying, "The world is eternal," are also fully aware of them as they truly are. Furthermore, having realized that those ascetics and Brahmins lack faith, lack desire, lack transmitted learning, lack complete contemplation on aspects, and lack the acceptance of definitive understanding through seeing, they also realize that thinking that such knowledge exists is baseless. Ascetics and Brahmins who possess knowledge, having realized that even without knowledge, they claim to have knowledge and unanimously assert that they are completely pure, it appears to be only their ignorance. Monks, that is also coarse, conditioned, thought-out, and dependently originated. Just as, if conditioned phenomena exist, then the cessation of conditioned phenomena also exists, therefore, the Tathagata, having fully understood that it exists, turns away from it, peacefully observes it, observes the definitive emergence, and abides. The Tathagata fully knows those ascetics and Brahmins who contemplate on the past extreme, some of whom think, "The self and the world are eternal," or "The self and the world are impermanent," or "Both eternal and impermanent," or "Neither eternal nor impermanent," or "The self and suffering are eternal," or "The self and suffering are impermanent," or "Both eternal and impermanent," or "Neither eternal nor impermanent," or "The self and the world are self-made," or "The self and the world are other-made," or "Both self-made and other-made," or "Neither self-made nor other-made, but arisen without cause," or "The self and suffering are self-made," or "The self and suffering are other-made," or "Both self-made and other-made," or "Neither self-made nor other-made, but arisen without cause," viewing and speaking in such a way, and expressing and being expressive, are also fully aware of them as they truly are.
