I say that after becoming like this, one will eventually attain Nirvana. Here, monks, those who truly contemplate the body will not be robbed by inappropriate attention, and will also be separated from all defilements. The inner eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind, as well as the outer form, taste, smell, touch, sound, and dharma, are also the body. If the inner self abides in following the body with the body, it will eventually attain Nirvana. Here, monks, when the eye sees forms, do not universally discriminate, nor observe reality with a mind associated with joyful desire. What exists in this body are hair, body hair, nails, teeth, bones, skin, blood, tendons, food, mature substances, phlegm, bile, wind, intestines, large and small intestines, feces, urine, lungs, kidneys, meat, fat, semen, pus, mucus, brain marrow, and brain. When one remembers the body connected to the body in this way, then one will not be robbed by form, taste, smell, touch, sound, dharma, and external dharmas. The eye can also see forms as they truly are from the beginning. How do yogis truly see the inner self, the fleshy mass of the eye composed of the four great elements? For the inner self, the slightly hard part of the fleshy mass of the eye, that is, grasping those parts that have become hard, this is called the earth element of the fleshy mass of the eye of the inner self. For the inner self, the water in these respective natures of the fleshy mass of the eye, and the water that moistens and flows, relying on this, the part that has become moist, that is, grasping those parts that have become moist, this is called the water element of the fleshy mass of the eye of the inner self. For the inner self, this nature of the fleshy mass of the eye in

Becoming red is warmth, obtaining warmth and approaching it, this is called the fire element of the inner self-flesh mass eye. Furthermore, the inner self-flesh mass eye, each self becoming wind and wind, becoming light and universally moving, this is called the wind element of the inner self-flesh mass eye. Just as one accurately observes the eye, so too does one accurately observe the ear, nose, tongue, and body. A monk who observes the body on the body will not be bound by the hindrance that is together with joyful desire. Furthermore, the yoga practitioner dwells observing the body on the body, this body of mine experiences birth, aging, death, dying, and rebirth moment by moment, therefore, this is like an illusion, without accumulated essence, like foam and bubbles, is suffering, suffering is a refuge, and is the body that is the birthplace of suffering. In the absence of suffering, not impermanent, not the nature of complete change, and not the nature of destruction, there is not even a little bit from this body. Furthermore, the yoga practitioner dwells observing the body on the body, what is refuge, what is protection? How is it here? He accurately observes the body as it is. These are like this: this body originates from the root of karma, is the refuge of karma, and is the protector of karma, so if one possesses virtuous karma, one will be reborn as gods and humans; if one possesses non-virtuous karma, one will be reborn as hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals. This body has no substance, purity, essence, permanence, or stability, therefore, he accurately observes this, thereby completely abandoning the hindrance that is together with joyful desire, as well as the arising hindrances. Furthermore, the yoga practitioner accurately observes the eye itself as it is

Furthermore, how do the people of Jambudvipa see forms with their human eyes, and how do they see things that conform to the sky? Is it the same for people in other places, do they also see forms with their eyes? Then, through well-considered and wisdom born from hearing, or even with a divine eye, one can observe everything. Just as the people of Jambudvipa can see forms well through the causes and conditions of their eyes, forms, appearances, the sky, and attention. Similarly, the beings of Uttarakuru travel and dwell in the sky and see forms. For example, just as one sees the forms of fish and other creatures that live in water, so too do the beings of Uttarakuru see forms that are obscured by clouds. Moreover, a yogi uses the body of a Jambudvipa to individually discern the body of an Uttarakuru. Just as my ears hear unpleasant and very clear sounds, but not obstructed ones, and we hear loud sounds, is it the same for the people of Uttarakuru, or not? One should accurately discern with the ears, just as they are. Near sounds, far sounds, faint sounds, pleasant sounds, and unpleasant sounds are also heard by the beings of Uttarakuru through the distinction of their nature. Just as the sun illuminates near, far, most, small, clean, and unclean things. Similarly, the people of Uttarakuru also hear sounds. Furthermore, a yogi dwells observing the body in the body. Just as the sense of smell of the people of Jambudvipa is, is it the same for the people of Uttarakuru, or not? He discerns through wisdom born from hearing or a divine eye. The nose smells pleasant odors but does not smell unpleasant ones, due to the distinction of their nature, such as milk.
