The existence of these trees is the glory of the gods' good deeds. When those gods play in that lotus pond, if they climb that tree, they will think like this: If houses could also appear here for us, that would be great. At that time, on the trees of the houses, the flowers that satisfy the bees and the narrators, and all of those, are the result of the gods' good deeds. Possessing the light of the seven jewels, and the extremely vast rivers, ponds, forests, nearby forests, mountain peaks, and everything adorned with the seven jewels, those will appear perfectly in the houses. They enter the houses, surrounded by goddesses with various ornaments and attire, playing, rejoicing, and singing, rising to the center of the sky, together with the gods free from strife, watching others as they please. The trees growing on the shore, possessing such merits, are the power of these house trees. Furthermore, on the trees by that lotus pond, flowers and fruits shining in various ways, and birds shining in various ways, make it even more beautiful, thus becoming very bright. The power of what is called the sound of jewels is like this: when the gods play in that lotus pond, those trees are moved by gentle winds, rubbing against each other. Those trees that rub against each other will produce pleasant, delightful, and various great sounds. The heaps of divine jewels are also extremely light, falling like flowers. Those jewels at that time illuminate the entire sky, like this sun and moon.

Just as those jewels illuminate the Jambudvipa continent, so too do those jewels illuminate everything. At that time, the very nature of the sky also becomes exceedingly bright. Furthermore, on the surface of that lotus pond, there are other trees, such as the tree called "Immovable One." When the gods frolic in those lotus ponds, at that time, from those trees, the fruits of the good deeds performed by the gods themselves, a white sap will arise, possessing the fragrance, taste, color, and touch of divine substances. At that time, the gods will drink it. Therefore, they will become even more convinced and delighted. They are free from the faults of intoxication. Those who enjoy themselves together will dance and laugh around it. They will also fully enjoy the nectar-like food. Thus, those trees themselves will become like the actions of the gods. Furthermore, in that lotus pond, there are other trees growing on the shore, which display beautiful splendor and colors in various forms, called "Fragrance and Color." When the gods play in that lotus pond, at that time, the good deeds performed by the gods themselves will bring forth gentle breezes of pleasant touch. Those breezes will sway the leaves of those trees. From those leaves swaying against each other, extremely pleasing sounds will arise. For example, the gods' own music, harmonious, melodious, and pleasing sounds will also arise from them. Similarly, in that lotus pond displaying beautiful splendor in various forms, there are other trees growing on the shore, called "Deeds of Joy." Their power is such that birds will each dwell on those trees. Once the gods have come to that lotus pond, they will remain there for a long time...

Having played and rejoiced with the sounds of the five musical instruments, they especially dwell on those trees, and in order to see those things that have become joyful, they ride on the backs of those birds. Those birds, merely by the arising of the minds of the gods, transform into whatever form they desire, that is, they transform into forms that rise into the middle of the sky in various ways, wanting to look everywhere as if viewing the earth. Or, the houses there change, and riding on the mounts that mostly become waterfalls, ponds, forests, nearby forests, and vine houses, which are beautiful to behold in various ways, they look everywhere at those things in the lands of the gods. Furthermore, other birds express verses, such as: 'For those who keep the precepts, death is supreme, but for those who break the precepts, even living long is not supreme here. It is not because one is completely suppressed by others that one exists, nor, even if one dies and transmigrates, does one dwell in the hells. Those who are wise, in sequence, before and after, each moment is very, very little. Dancers and bathers too are of the nature of cleansing fruits.' Then, again, the Blessed One resided in the Brahmin village of Nala in Rajagriha (王舍城). Then, the Blessed One said to the monks: 'Monks, I will teach the Dharma called mindfulness of the body, which is good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end, with good meaning, good words, completely perfect, completely pure, completely purified, the Brahmacharya (梵行), I will teach. This is the category of Dharma called mindfulness of the body. Listen well and thoroughly, I will teach.' After saying this, those monks listened to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said these words to them: 'Monks, what are the categories of Dharma called mindfulness of the body? For example, a monk dwells observing the body in accordance with the body, and does not dwell in the realm of Mara (魔), and also abandons afflictions. He sees the body as it truly is, manifest wisdom.'
