The Lord of Death, and the three stains such as desire, the five objects are also thieves who steal the substance of virtue. Enemies wander in the guise of friends in the dangerous valleys of existence, the mind filled with carelessness is increased by the objects. What quickly destroys a person is the realms of hell and hungry ghosts. When suffering and other truths are realized with wisdom, at that time a person, with the unsurpassed, will obtain a state of happiness and auspiciousness. Eradicating faults from the root, and always practicing to increase merits. Do not make evil friends, turn away from the lazy, generate diligence and be mindful, possess an army of discipline and wisdom. Abandoning old age and death, one goes to the unsurpassed state. When the senses and the objects of the senses, when one knows only their very nature, then relying on wisdom, one crosses the ocean of existence. The arrogant and the lazy, and those who are always suspicious of everything, the proud and those with sinful minds, the wise should not befriend. Extremely diligent and gentle in nature, abiding in the Dharma and abandoning faults, having right view and without roughness, one should rely on them as friends, it is beautiful. A sinful person is not a vessel for friends, the vessel is the unsurpassed person. When one becomes an unsurpassed vessel, one will not be afraid of faults. Moment, instant, a short while, and day and night, likewise time, contemplate death and stability, there is no way to avoid it. Whenever this death arises, it is most praised among recollections, relying on it is the best of peace, it is to go away from defilement. After remembering the fear of the Lord of Death, how will one follow faults? Without faults, all stains, will always be pacified. This state of mindfulness is most excellent, thus the Tathagatas have declared. Whenever one constantly remembers the Lord of Death, one should also abandon non-virtuous deeds. Thus it is said. Thus, the king of peacocks teaches the Dharma to the gods of Joyful Heaven and those who are free from strife. Dharma Furthermore, for the monks and Brahmins who abide in the Great Vehicle, there are also cherished things. What is this? For example, form and

It enables one to be completely free from pride and arrogance of power. Due to attachment to pride in appearance, lineage, and power, children also commit various physical misdeeds. As the body acts, so do speech and mind. Due to such causes and conditions, the body deteriorates, and one falls into evil destinies, being born in the hells. Similarly, one is born in the animal realm and the realm of the pretas. In such cycles of rebirth, when life is constantly transformed, various discriminations and various sufferings arise, the names of which are even difficult to know. Therefore, recognize the dangers of these faults and stay away from pride in appearance, lineage, and power. If one can do that, one will not commit evil deeds of body, speech, and mind. Being able to observe truthfully, one sees the states of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. And this body, which is a heap of meaningless and impure things, a skeletal machine composed of hair, body hair, nails, teeth, blood, and skin, filled with tendons, fat, urine, and feces. This body of mine is not clean in the beginning, not clean in the middle, and not clean in the end. Born from karma and afflictions, there is not the slightest essence. It is not permanent, nor is it with self. When the place and time of death arrive, this body cannot move or follow even one step. In the cemetery, it will be burned by fire, or it will be taken away and eaten by vultures, owls, jackals, and crows. Therefore, if a noble person meditates in this way, he will completely get rid of or overcome pride in appearance and power. Furthermore, when someone thinks that he is born into a noble lineage,

If I and these Brahmins become proud of our lineage, then, if we can truly discern that only "that" is lineage, in reality, lineage does not exist, it is only understood by children as these. Just as these lineages are without lineage because they have no cause. Similarly, clan is also non-existent. The cause of virtue alone is lineage. What are they? Like this: whoever has the qualities of truth, discipline, generosity, wisdom, perfect peace, and gentleness, even if born into a low lineage, is well born into a great lineage. Because merit is the cause of lineage, and birth is not the cause. Therefore, neither renunciates nor Brahmins nor others of their kind should be arrogant because of birth, lineage, or power. Furthermore, at that time, renunciates or Brahmins or others of their kind should also truly discern from other aspects what form is. For example, this body of mine, the way I was when I was a child and later when I was old and lying down, is not the way I was when I was crawling; the way I was crawling is not the way I was when I was wearing a topknot; the way I was with a topknot will not become the way my body appears when I am in my prime. The appearance of middle age is not the time when I suddenly die. That kind of appearance, long-lasting, is also not the time of death. This body of mine, having become a corpse, will be eaten by bees and so on. Other insects that arise from that will also eat it, and such things will happen. The wind, the sun, and the rain will also completely destroy it from all sides. It will also become different parts in the ten directions. Others will take me to the cemetery, and this body will be divided into many different parts.
