What need to mention that worldly people do not do it, those who have become practitioners of yoga, these three dharmas are what should be done. What are the three? Like this, in order to prevent the arising in any way of those unwholesome dharmas that have arisen and cause extreme aversion in the mind stream; in order to prevent those that have not yet arisen from arising; similarly, after remembering those unwholesome dharmas that have passed, one should be diligent. Monks, one should make the mind very calm, conduct completely pure, in no way cling to the mind, conduct purely, desire to exhaust doubts, desire to be free from desire, desire happiness, and also generate a non-clinging mind. Furthermore, monks, those who have become non-clinging in mind will obtain the state of supreme bliss and utmost happiness. Then, at this time, the Peacock King recited the verses spoken by the Destroyer of Aeons, like this: The mind is always without attachment, it always abides in meditation, the mind is always pure, one-pointed and joyful. The mind that is extremely focused is not bound by faults, it is certainly liberated from faults and fears, this is said to be abiding in its own nature. The mind of joy that arises from one-pointedness is not accomplished by discrimination, that liberation from discrimination becomes beautifully abiding in its own nature. Whoever's mind is always peaceful, constantly enjoys the bliss of nirvana, the faults born of power in the causes of non-virtue do not change. Whatever happiness is created by meditation, whatever happiness is born from samadhi, all of that constantly happens to sentient beings from the one-pointed mind. Whatever happiness arises in the heart of the one-pointed, joyful, disciplined practitioner, here the consciousness desires that as happiness, the worldly do not desire the truth. Rejoicing in the one-pointed mind, having done pure deeds, being liberated from the stain of faults, he will realize the fruit of peace. Always the mind is definitely one-pointed, all five senses are gathered together, of doubt

The terrible lineage is destroyed by the water of wisdom. Not possessing transverse connections, desiring completely pure happiness. It is like standing before the state of endlessness and undiminishedness. The mind of confused and scattered discrimination, wherever it arises. Will be controlled by the samadhi that possesses one-pointed focus. Therefore, the most excellent of these dharmas is going to the city of Nirvana. For those who are single-mindedly devoted, destroy the actions of Mara. With the light of extremely stable wisdom, tame and control the horse of the mind. One will go to the supreme state of extinguishing afflictions. Those who are steadfast, those who go to the supreme yoga. Wherever the one-pointed mind is directed, one will go to the irreversible state. Thus, the king of peacocks teaches the Dharma in various ways for the happiness and benefit of those gods. Then, the lord of the peacocks again teaches the same Dharma to those who are free from strife and the Tushita gods, which is the virtue of rejoicing when unborn and going to Nirvana. He also teaches other dharmas, O gods, listen to other dharmas, the essence of all virtuous dharmas is this: such solitary joy. A bhikshu who delights in solitude also wanders with extreme restraint, practices with extreme restraint, abides with good restraint, and becomes supremely peaceful and supremely pure. For example, bhikshus who rejoice in solitary joy practice well with unique restraint, are peaceful, gentle, and extremely stable, and those who rejoice in solitary joy will rejoice in everything, becoming mountain forests, caves, cemeteries, and piles of grass that have become places of peace, and equally guard their minds in everything. A bhikshu who wanders alone and delights in solitude will also cherish seven dharmas, which are they? For example: the mind is always filled with great joy. The mind is also always greatly purified. Worldly people also hear this.
