For those who must rely on, for those who are steadfast in the nature of reality, the patience that is practiced even through the excellent distinctions of the path of meditation is: Thus, here too, all these worlds, including rocks, forests, and dense thickets, also endure their existence on the earth. Nor will they sink. Likewise, through patience, one can also attain the Dharma of Nirvana, and for all these Dharmas, steadfastness, essence, the nature of reality, especially, the principal and white Dharmas, and those who will attain the path of Nirvana, also practice patience. These very patiences are the forerunners of the steadfast path, because they transcend the world, they are able to attain Nirvana. Furthermore, there is a second patience. For example, whichever Shramana or Brahmin, or other such person, can destroy the poison of arising anger. Having recognized the result of anger, they do not give anger an opportunity. If anger itself arises, then it harms that person's own body. It changes the complexion. The blood flows back to the face. It causes others to lose caution. It causes fear in worldly people. It also becomes discordant with all the people of the land, unpleasant, and subject to blame. Eventually, after the body is destroyed, one also falls into evil destinies, being born in hell. Whatever actions are done by those who are conquered by anger, there is no other unlawful action. Therefore, like fire, these angers should be completely abandoned by those who are steadfast. Those who do good, having recognized the results of faults in this way, practice patience and pacify it by being extremely devoted to benefiting themselves and others, just as when someone's house catches fire, he goes to put out the fire. Those with wisdom completely pacify anger with the water of wisdom, this perfect patience is an extremely virtuous mind.

And, the noble person who possesses patience and completely abandons anger will be in harmony with all beings. He will also become lovable and pleasing to see. He will also become a place of utmost trust, with a radiant face and an extremely joyful heart. He will also have an extremely well-abiding mind and possess supremely virtuous thoughts. He will be free from bodily faults, free from verbal errors, free from mental suffering, free from the fear of bad destinies, free from beings with envious minds, free from enemies, free from unpleasant defilements, free from harmful thoughts, free from constant heart-stabbing, free from the fear of royal punishment, free from the fear of uttering untamed evil words, free from the fear of all regrets, free from the fear of all accusations, free from the fear of gain, free from the fear of suffering, and free from the fear of arrogance. Such a person will be endowed with all virtues. Everywhere he goes, he will not be separated from this good reputation. When he goes to both this world and the next, he will also be happy. He will also be fit to be the mother and father of all beings. He will also be respected by all. The noble person will also possess patience. Therefore, other anger, which is like virulent poison, weapons, and storms, is pacified by patience. It confesses, endures, and also subdues. Therefore, those noble persons who desire virtue should keep patience in mind and completely protect it like a jewel! It lights the lamp of the sacred Dharma for those who are completely defeated by anger and those who dwell in the darkness of anger, and it becomes the eye of the blind. For those who lack the sacred Dharma, it is the wealth of Dharma. For those who are impoverished by wrong views, it is the destroyer. For those who are abandoned by their mother and father, it becomes mother and father. For those who are submerged in the river of anger,
