Similarly, those (afflictions) that have been destroyed by uncontaminated wisdom will not arise again. Therefore, only through diligent effort, one should thoroughly destroy all ignorance with all wisdom at all times and in all circumstances. All those eleven dharmas are rooted in negligence, are in the state of negligence, and are of the lineage of negligence. Therefore, in all circumstances and in all ways, negligence itself should be temporarily completely abandoned. From the root of negligence, everything becomes meaningless in all circumstances, because it is from its existence that karma arises, and it does not arise from its non-existence. For example, the earth holds all medicines, grasses, forests, water, grains, rivers, mountains and the best of lakes, the best of cities, villages, forests, nearby forests, and even Mount Sumeru. Similarly, the single root of all the sufferings of beings in hell, hungry ghosts, and animals is negligence. Therefore, noble beings should temporarily abandon it. Then, at that time, Musulin, the lord of the non-contenders, spoke these verses. How: Oppressed by old age, filled with wrinkles, weakened, holding a staff in hand, whoever does not cultivate the supreme Dharma, that is because of negligence. Bodies destroyed by disease, especially fond of mattresses, yet not feeling very weary, those are the results of this delusion. Seeing fear in the threat of hunger, that person goes to the lower realms, again not generating weariness, that is done by negligence. What kind of suffering arises in the hearts of people who are separated from happiness, the Tathagata declared that it is because of relying on negligence. The many sufferings that beings in the five realms enjoy, the beings of negligence, always do those things out of delusion. Beings deluded in samsara, alas, how pitiful, weariness arises, by the great wheel of karma, revolving again and again in samsara. In the three existences, what kind of happiness is without defilement, having been thoroughly considered

There is none. Even so, all are ignorant, surely children will not be weary. Those attached to pleasant realms, like a dream, these move. All these beings are suffering, even the eyeless do not see. For that which has no way to turn back, the fear of the Lord of Death changes by sweeping across. Even so, all are ignorant, recklessness destroys people. Because of improper attention, the mind is distracted, When the Lord of Death leads, even worldly people do not understand. Wealth and children, and even the most beloved life, When the living are robbed, the Lord of Death leads them away. From the sprout of recklessness, what destroys this world, There are also three meaningless things in the world: disease, old age, and death. Seeking revenge, anger destroys people nearby, the gods are destroyed by recklessness. The hungry and thirsty pretas are disturbed, the hell beings with intense feelings. They kill and pollute each other, animals are allies of ignorance. Thus, the world is various, mules and donkeys stir it up. Because of recklessness, the ignorant do not rejoice in the Dharma. All medicines and grasses, how they grow from the earth. Likewise, from recklessness, afflictions arise, and various kinds increase greatly. That is the lord of the army of demons, this is the supreme power. Like darkness by the light of the sun, it should be destroyed by the vajra of wisdom. Those who know all the faults and virtues, are briefly explained at first. The reckless always suffer, the fruit of diligence is happiness. Thus, Musulun, the lord of those who have ceased fighting, in many ways and with many distinctions, also proclaims the faults of recklessness and the virtues of diligence. The Lord of Death, disease, old age, suffering, meeting with the unpleasant, and other intense sufferings, this cycle of existence is complete. Taming future suffering is beneficial and happy. Suffering arises from the cause of sin, acting without sin is happiness. The best of happiness is the exhaustion of afflictions, so the wise have said. This is the path to nirvana, so it is said by those who have seen it.
