I am not even thinking about meditation without night. It is not by reciting, nor is it by relying well on the Lama that one abides. One does not make offerings to the Three Jewels and then practice. One remembers and tells others about the actions of the body in the next world, and one does not do the three kinds of actions of speech and mind, but the mind is completely absorbed in that. Just as I have not seen myself, my relatives, friends, and my own people, what has become of the affairs of those people's homes, or what has become of those living people. Having thought in this way, one will be tormented by sorrow, and in order to be liberated from those things, for that purpose, from living in the forest, one follows it. Having become evil wisdom, an unmoving, sorrowless person, having abandoned one's own sorrows caused by birth, old age, sickness, and death, one sorrows with the sorrows of others, and one will surely enter this net of meeting one's own unequal and equal people and relatives. Then he clearly sees those relatives again, is tormented by suffering, and eats the food given by others, and is very happy about the feasts of sowing from one house to another. One also does and listens to the things that are related to that family. He thinks about those things, and also does things other than those things. He makes a living for the family, and therefore completely declines from his own affairs. One does not think about the fears of those who have become the next world. One does not think about death and rebirth in the hells, hungry ghosts, and animal realms. One does not think about the fears here either, one does not think about old age, sickness, and death, and separation from suffering, and meeting with unpleasant things, and all pleasant and unpleasant things becoming different, without change, those separate abidings of separation. He and his relatives and friends life after life

One should always rely on it. Those who like to visit relatives and friends, enjoy associating with them, eat other people's food, and show off other people's houses, will be reborn in hell after their bodies are destroyed, falling into evil destinies and evil paths. In the realms of pretas and the birthplaces of animals, they will also wander around due to extreme fatigue. Even if they are born in hell, those who are overwhelmed by intense feelings will not receive any coolness from friends or relatives. Therefore, all monks should always be vigilant about the terrors of hell, pretas, and animal realms, and should not desire to meet with relatives and friends. Gathering with them will also lead to serious meaningless activities. If someone renounces the world in order to eliminate obstacles, but instead relies on obstacles with obstacles, then that is extremely foolish. Some people, although they have destroyed (afflictions) and then renounced the world, their minds still enter the same net, because they have low intelligence. It is like some people who escape the threat of fire, but then approach the fire itself. Similarly, some people abandon family life because they are afraid of it, but then allow themselves to approach the same fear. Some people approach the great mire of relatives and friends, and then rely on them again; these people are blind, their wisdom is obscured, and they have not restrained their senses. So, by what Dharma should these completely defiled Dharmas be completely destroyed? Even the wise cannot abandon or grasp them, only those who have wandered abroad for a long time and are happy to abide there can completely destroy and grasp them. Wandering abroad for a long time, abiding on the path, is like those of low intelligence, as well as other relatives and friends.

It is impossible to individually prevent sorrow for relatives and one's own retinue. Moreover, because of becoming a guest for a long time, eventually those sorrows will be completely destroyed. Because loving-kindness does not meet in all circumstances, it will be completely destroyed. First, the antidotes to that sorrow will be recognized in all circumstances, like this: the end of all gatherings is separation. In the place and time of death, no one will be designated or completely saved by anyone. In the place and time of death, only karma can completely save in all circumstances. In hundreds and thousands of other lives, karma will also become a refuge, like relatives in all circumstances. Not relatives, nor relatives, nor anyone else. No relatives can save, so be happy alone, and be subject to relatives or one's own retinue, and thus contemplate. Therefore, this dharma, which is entirely afflicted, should be completely destroyed by a bhikkhu who is happy alone. In the place and time of death, or in times of sickness and old age, no one can do anything for anyone. No one can completely save, so think like that. The affection that this bhikkhu has for his own retinue will therefore decline or bow down in all circumstances. Therefore, the affection of a bhikkhu meeting with relatives will be completely separated by going abroad. Furthermore, the dharma, which is entirely afflicted, because it will necessarily arise, should be completely destroyed. What is this? Like speaking meaningless words. Whether a householder or anyone, all beings will become like grass. Like this, because the words of language are wealth, and other wealth is secondary. People are the essence of language.
