Furthermore, the yogi dwells observing the body externally by following the body internally. If someone asks, what is the measure of the four continents of these four human habitations? Answer: Through the wisdom gained from hearing or through the divine eye, Jambudvipa is seven thousand yojanas. Godhaniya is eight thousand yojanas. Purvavideha is nine thousand yojanas. Uttarakuru is ten thousand yojanas. Whatever the shape of each continent, the shape of the faces of the people living in them is the same. Among them, Jambudvipa is similar to a chariot wheel, and similarly, the faces of the people of Jambudvipa are triangular. Purvavideha is crescent-shaped, and the faces of the people are similar to it. Godhaniya is round, and the faces of the people are the same. Uttarakuru is square, and the faces of the people of Uttarakuru are the same. Thus, the yogi, having seen the shapes of the four human habitations, looks outward in accordance with reality. Furthermore, the yogi dwells observing the body externally by following the body internally. If someone asks, what are the mountains, rivers, villages, or islands that are far from Jambudvipa and located in the northern region? A mountain named "Color" is twenty yojanas in extent, perfectly hollow and complete. Beyond that, for a hundred yojanas in the sky, it is surrounded by rivers. There is no grass, reeds, or vines there, and not a single medicine or forest grows. Far beyond that, there is a mountain called "Tise," which is five hundred yojanas high, white in color, with the nature of silver, and completely covered with golden horns. There resides a great king named "Holy Born." There is a lotus lake there, and very cool water flows from the lake. Blue lotuses are also very abundant. The lotus ponds are also filled with swans, ruddy shelducks, and chakravakas. Beyond that, there is a mountain called "Tise's Horn," which is five hundred yojanas high. Kinnaras rejoice in the trees there, and they are very happy because they especially enjoy singing. Of its five horns, gold and crystal, and three are of the nature of silver. The ten directions are adorned with divine flowers. The vicinity of that mountain is covered with lotuses, so it is very fragrant and pleasant. From the midst of that mountain, a stream flows rapidly, and the clear water is filled with swans, ruddy shelducks, and flocks of geese, making it very delightful. Beyond that river, there is a mountain called "Menako." It is five hundred yojanas high. Asuras have resided there from the beginning, and women who have transformed into horse-headed shapes also reside there, and they are always delighted with singing. Furthermore, yogis abide, observing the body with the external body. If one asks, beyond Jambudvipa, are there other mountains or rivers? Then, through the wisdom gained from hearing or seen with the divine eye, there are oceans of ten thousand yojanas, filled with dragons, great fish, nagas, crocodiles, and conches.
