I will not let the mind wander completely. Like taming a wild horse, stretching out and controlling it, those who have memories of the past abandon the unbearable desires of joy and abide. Similarly, when memory allows the eyes to wander in the present realm, practice will prevent it. How can we understand memory and non-memory well through practice? For example, when the joy of desire that has arisen is completely carried away by an improper wind, memory will completely grasp it. Here, when the four noble truths—suffering, origin, cessation, and path—are used to analyze that form itself in many ways and forms, as it truly is, then this desire for craving will completely diminish at all times or in all circumstances. Even if the strength remains, it will become small. This is its glory of virtuous Dharma, that is, it is the root connected by memory. All virtuous Dharmas are deeply rooted in it. Such is the memory that arises now. How can we understand that the future, unexperienced realm, by the power of cause, becomes the memory focused on the realm? Memory can also remember the future well, and by focusing on the cause of the fruit, it can also remember and completely remember the future. For example, remember that those who practice well in body, speech, and mind, after manifesting, will become gods or merely celestial beings. Thus, remember those pure actions that have been completed, and remember them well. Similarly, also completely remember the consequences of evil deeds, that is, the hells that arise from those actions. Therefore, this is called the fifth Dharma of memory, which is precious to gods and humans. Furthermore, there is a sixth Dharma that is precious to gods and humans, what is it? That is, not harming others. Here, some people do not go near to harm others, their wisdom is very sharp, they do not overly criticize others, and for those who practice celibacy, they also
