I am not. Those will be ashamed before the assembly of goddesses in their own abodes. Furthermore, the fourth cause of shame is, for example, when relying on the lotus pond, however many kinds of deeds a god has done, that many kinds of lotuses will appear. Color and. Smell and. The touch is very strong, and when those that appear are clearly seen, the principal gods will be very ashamed when entering the retinue. Furthermore, the fifth cause of shame is that the gods are ashamed of each other. Which ones? For example, the seats are in the likeness of those gods who have done whatever kind of deeds, and only seats of that kind will appear. Among them, for those gods who have done very good deeds, seats of the nature of vaidurya, or the nature of indranila, or the nature of padmaraga will appear. When other gods sit on those seats, because the deeds are few, at that time the seat will also turn into gold, or turn into the nature of silver, or turn into the nature of crystal. At that time, when the transformed seat is clearly seen, those gods will all be very ashamed simply because the deeds are heavy and light and of various kinds. Because of shame, their splendor will completely disappear. When they have all disappeared in that way, the radiance of their faces will also completely disappear, and when the gods who are very powerful and extremely superior are clearly seen, those gods whose deeds are very inferior will be completely abandoned by the goddesses. Those goddesses abandon those gods and rely on other gods. All those goddesses who are consistent in their behavior also completely transfer to other gods, making the particularly superior goddesses happy. Those gods with inferior deeds will attain extreme shame. This is the fifth cause of the gods. Because entering the retinue causes shame, it is the nature of the Dharma that will be completely destroyed.

All conditioned phenomena are extremely swift, swift to the utmost. For those mixed with such sweetness, even the taste without leaves can cause suffering. If the pride of apparent happiness is mixed with suffering, then in other lives, those beings born in hell, hungry ghosts, and animals will each certainly experience various and extremely common great sufferings; what need is there to mention other lives? For example, various rivers flow into the ocean. Similarly, at the entrances of beings' mindstreams, numerous extremely intense sufferings arise, caused by various conditions. The gods, by inferring from these sufferings, also reveal other sufferings. All these, and everything, are connected with the three times in every way, filled with the three kinds of suffering. Those who destroy suffering, who utterly destroy suffering, are wisdom, discipline, and generosity. Then, at that time, the Blessed One spoke verses, as follows: Those who do not rely well on generosity, wisdom, and discipline, those beings are always in suffering, they have no happiness. Through various causes, whenever, wherever, however, those lives that perform actions, their fruits are also of that kind. All these have causes; that which has no cause, because conditioned phenomena do not perish, therefore the cause is not seen. From beginningless time, the face of shame has been deceived by the faults of the mind. Because noble wisdom has become base, therefore generosity is beautiful. Generosity has a special order, those who have abandoned the stain of stinginess. The gods who act for the sake of play, exhausted by wasteful minds, those who are by nature hungry and thirsty, run to the realm of hungry ghosts. All those fruits of stinginess, he spoke having seen them himself. Those who are for the sake of happiness, will certainly go to happiness. One becomes happy through generosity alone, therefore generosity is praised.

Na. Giving to this world and the next, Going and following is it. Having gone with giving, Thus increasing, worshiping the gods. Those places without deception, The Tathagata has spoken. Therefore, because it is without deception, As a basis, especially give. Victory over the enemy of miserliness, And also cultivate the mind well. Whoever constantly gives, That one crosses the ocean of existence. Also from the place, three kinds of giving, Three kinds born from three wisdoms, Of that definite time and season, The fruit is seen by the three-eyed one. This giving is always given first, Protect the precepts with great diligence, Destroy desire with wisdom, From these paths, happiness arises. The impermanent giver is desire, It does not benefit the world, The ultimate unsurpassed, The supreme position cannot be obtained. This one's mind and body, Should always rejoice in giving. Without giving, hunger and thirst, Burn in the realm of the pretas. In the realms of gods and gandharvas, With giving, they become endowed with enjoyment. With giving, one becomes a king, Well doing Dharma, a universal monarch. Having relied well on the place of giving, The wise protect the precepts. Those with precepts know the time, And with wisdom, they are completely liberated. The path of definite emergence from suffering, The Sage, the supreme being, praises this. That is steadfast, always diligent, Always Rejoice in giving. Without giving, even to the gods, The gods consider happiness to be inferior. Whoever gives themselves, Becomes fortunate with happiness. Therefore, the fruit of giving, Because everything is grasped by the mind. Even if born among animals, Becomes fortunate with happiness. All that happiness born from giving, The wise have spoken thus. Whoever is a preta in the preta realm, Is able to eat all foods. The fruits of the thornless trees, Become similar to that. In hell, with extreme hunger and thirst, Which embodied being is not burned? All those difficult practices of giving, Those with fruit become like that. Due to the karma of sentient beings themselves, Those who are drowning in the mud of existence, Always with giving
