The medicine for the disease of samsara, yet the work of bliss is not realized. Like an island, like a protector, and likewise, like a refuge. Good deeds in the next life, remain behind living beings. Therefore, always strive diligently, the gods also always teach. Abandoning desires, relying on merit is good. Whoever sees the future existence with the eye of wisdom, that is the wise one, always beautiful. The root of the fear of falling, this is the constant fear of illusory birth, the wise see it well. Thus, obtaining the baseness of separation, is bound by the unpleasant. However, always foolish, they rely only on desires. Desires make beings foolish, burning them from the outside with suffering. As long as all these births, as long as consciousness does not decline, at that time, by merit, not doing merit is suffering. Thus, the Bhagavan Crowned One spoke to the gods such as Mucilinda about the verses written on the wall. Furthermore, it should be well explained. These eight dharmas written on the wall, after greatly proclaiming negligence with these dharmas, I will explain the seven dharmas. What are the seven dharmas? That is, the negligent one will continuously become obese. Those who engage in negligence will become mad, and the negligent gods and humans will always be obstacles to all worldly and transmundane matters. How does it become an obstacle to worldly affairs, and also to transmundane affairs? This is because negligent individuals will become those with distracted minds. Even if preemptive measures are taken, they will lead everything astray. Thus, the faults of obesity are not at all beautiful in any way. Extremely much is useless, not blissful, nor does it correspond to any meaning. How does obesity have great faults in the Vinaya of the transmundane dharma? And how, because of obesity, do people here

If it becomes an obstacle, then for people and renunciants, all careless actions should be condemned, just like this: Here, for this Dharma and discipline, all actions that are free from pride are beautiful, not accompanied by carelessness and pride. Accompanied by the faults of pride, they will not meditate. For the things that should be done, for the places of going and coming, they will not act well. They do not rely on the place of action, nor do they strive to help the patrons and donors, but they will become beings who only dwell on cushions and bedding. They are only carried away by improper attention. When the body is destroyed, they will be born in hell after death. Therefore, for the worldly path of people, or for the path beyond the world, these seven unbeautiful prides are like this: pride in beauty, pride in wealth, pride in lineage, pride in ornaments and attire, pride in the offerings of the king, pride in women and embraces and kisses, and pride in being controlled by the power of other women and having a distracted mind. These prides are a brief summary of pride. Pride is the enemy. Pride is the remnant. Pride will become an obstacle between all dharmas. Here, the pride of people is that even if they act with moderate enjoyment and a little life, it is pride. Then, what will be the pride of the gods like? They increase day and night in the enjoyment of lovely sounds, touches, tastes, images, and smells, these prides of careless nature, without the thought of the exhaustion of the life's activities, only pride, and the remnant of pride, pride will become an obstacle between all dharmas. When the body is destroyed, wisdom will not enter, and the activities of life will also be exhausted, they will continue until that time because of good and bad actions.

English

Will become arrogant and complacent. Nor will they practice. Those, those will be exhausted, and later they will surely fall, and then they will surely awaken, alas, the places have deceived me. Those who are always deceived by afflictions, after the body is destroyed, will fall into hell by non-virtuous means, or into the body of a hungry ghost, and into the birthplaces of animals, they will be born there. Therefore, those who are reckless in worldly affairs will be condemned. How do the gods condemn arrogance on the path beyond the world? Whatever gods there are, all those gods are born among these strife-free gods because of the causes of desire, suffering, and pleasant virtuous deeds, but they become complacent about the holy Dharma and discipline, so they do not understand the deeds they have done themselves. Those who have not remained because of extreme arrogance also do not rely on them; those who do not wander in any way because of complacency also do not rely on those, nor will they become the nature of observing the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, nor will they practice the holy Dharma and discipline, nor will they enter as they are. Therefore, they will not become the nature of learning these paths. They will not prioritize observing dependent arising. They will not draw near to the lama. Nor will they be accustomed to divine wisdom, nor will they draw near. That is deceived by desires and corrupted by places, and will die and transfer from our ranks of gods, and will be very regretful at the time of death and transfer. Therefore, like fire and snakes, the arrogance of gods and humans should be completely abandoned. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan Crowned One spoke the verses, how did he say it? Initially, approaching destruction through complacency, and also completely deluded by arrogance. Whether gods or men, that is not the method of peace. Whoever does not practice arrogance, that person is immortal. Determined by the fault of arrogance.
