Burn the remains of the Three Jewels. This fire in other worlds will travel and follow. Even in a hundred kalpas, death has not been seen. Whatever unwholesome deeds children do, whatever beings fall into evil destinies, the wise say that all come from the root of food. Like the fruit of hunger, people do not strive for their own benefit. All these three realms enter by the power of food. Why are they so diverse? These worlds arise from humans. The river of the three existences, all seek for the sake of food. Thus, Musulinda spoke to those gods of self-nature. Furthermore, gods, what are the sufferings of people in the human world? It is to encounter unpleasant things. Among them, these six are all encounters with unpleasant things. Among them, what are those? It is that the eye sees forms, from non-friends and so on, those seen are unpleasant and undesirable. From seeing these forms, the mind also becomes unharmonious and displeased. Making the mind and mental factors turbid, and thus becoming fearful. And the suffering accompanied by near-harm, arises in the mind and mental factors. Among them, for all those collections of forms, what enters first is: to encounter an enemy, or to encounter a person who is an evil friend. Similarly, when the ear hears sounds, it also produces unhelpful, unpleasant, disagreeable, and unharmonious things. And making the stream of mind turbid, this is another suffering of encountering unpleasant things. Among them, the extreme of discordant sounds is: that even when the Dharma that is not the Dharma is proclaimed, one also goes to listen. Having heard this, when the body is destroyed, one will also fall into evil destinies and be born in hell. Any other slightly unpleasant, disagreeable, unharmonious, and completely afflicted sounds, whatever they may be.

Having heard these, it causes discomfort in their minds, and also makes their minds turbulent. This unpleasant, ugly, disagreeable thing is said to be the suffering that arises from encountering unpleasant things for people in the human world. Gods, what is the third suffering that arises from encountering disagreement in the human world of humans? For example, when the nose smells odors, it encounters unpleasant, ugly, disagreeable things, and whatever it smells causes turbulence in the mind, and also whatever disagrees with the mind causes all kinds of afflictive sufferings. Alas, gods, for people in the human world, this is the ultimate in encountering unpleasant things. Any other virtuous person, whether for the reason of offering to the Dharma or to the Sangha, when offering incense, those who are of inferior intelligence and dull mind, whether walking or sitting, because of the desire that goes before, because of the arrogance that goes before, because of the disrespect that is let go before, or because of the submission that is let go before, they always smell all kinds of attachments in various directions. Because of this reason, having destroyed the body, they fall into evil destinies and are born in hell. Evil people, because of the cause of the nose and all connections with the nose, those who are endowed with non-virtuous minds, having destroyed the body, fall into evil destinies and are born in hells. Gods, this is said to be the suffering that arises from encountering unpleasant things in the human world of humans. Furthermore, there are extremely painful things that arise from encountering unpleasant things. What are they? For example, in the human world, evil people who are endowed with evil intelligence do evil deeds for the sake of taste, and because of these reasons, having destroyed the body, they fall into evil destinies.

Where falling, sentient beings will be born in the hells. Whoever, not being a renunciate, assumes the guise of a renunciate, being rotten inside, not possessing learning, behaving like the sound of a conch shell. Whether having entered into the Sangha, or having gone to the house of a patron, it is also thus. Closely connected with the tongue, and with a mind tending towards it, assuming the guise of a renunciate and tasting flavors, by those causes and conditions, from the destruction of the body, falling into a bad rebirth, they are born in the hells. Whoever, a lazy monk, having completely abandoned the activity of meditating with meditation, with the mind gone to that, and with the desire of his own desire going before, for the sake of food, goes near to places where there is dwelling. From that cause, that lazy one, from the destruction of the body, falling into a bad rebirth, will be born in hell. O gods of woe! For them, this is the suffering arising from encountering unpleasantness, closely connected with the taste of the tongue, for people in the human world. Furthermore, O gods, what is the suffering arising from encountering unpleasantness in the human world, done by people desiring benefit? That is like this: the body touches what is to be touched, but the mind that is closely connected with that does not think of virtuous things. It does not necessarily lead into the path by means of the Dharma. The mind does not become equally placed. This is said to be an evil person, possessing a mind closely connected with an evil object. From the destruction of the body, falling into a bad rebirth, they are born in the hells. O gods, this is said to be the suffering of completely encountering unpleasantness for people in the human world. O gods of woe! Furthermore, what are the sufferings arising from completely encountering unpleasantness for people in the human world? That is like this: if someone's mind is wavering, and the mind is not abiding, and the mind is not focused, and the mind has become distracted, he always thinks of evil things with his mind. If those are not those who delight in the Dharma, do not cultivate virtue, and are not beneficial to themselves, by the causes of those, from the destruction of the body,
