What could be better than a river full of perfect fragrances, tastes, and pleasant sensations flowing from the gaps between the petals? As soon as they generate this thought, those rivers are endowed with the best tastes, fragrances, and sensations, and having arisen from well-performed actions, they constantly flow from the gaps between the petals. When the rivers burst forth, they, together with those who enjoy them, are amazed, and because they are satisfied and intoxicated, and their thirst for desire is never quenched, they sing for a long time, and with satisfied minds, they rejoice and play. Those who are born in places of carelessness exhaust the naturally formed good deeds, and at the time of death, they will see this clearly. They play to their heart's content, never satisfied with worldly desires, and this is how it happens. Those who abide in such a way will think like this: If in youth, there could be a sound surpassing even musicians, perfectly combined with the fragrance of various flowers, and the petals possessing such qualities were moved by the wind, that would be wonderful. Then, by the virtuous deeds of those gods, at the moment of merely generating the thought, the excellent realm of winds of that kind begins to arise slowly. By what extraordinary quality does the sound thus produced, which intensely sways them and stirs them mutually, surpass the songs of singers, even if they had sixteen parts? Then, those gods and goddesses together enjoy happiness for a long time, and also frolic, sing, and laugh, but how can there be a time of satisfaction with desires? They further think like this: If in youth, we who abide could have mansions adorned with seven kinds of precious jewels of various colors, complete with all desirable delights, and again cause us to circle around the vicinity of this great lake, abiding in the sky, thus playing, we would also enjoy, also laugh, also frolic, also sing, that would be wonderful. Its various colors are like this: diamond (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་), sapphire (Tibetan: ཨིན་དྲ་ནཱི་ལ་), emerald (Tibetan: མ་ར་ཀ་ཏ་), red lotus jewel (Tibetan: པད་མ་རཱ་ག་), lapis lazuli (Tibetan: བཻ་ཌཱུརྱ་), deep blue (Tibetan: སྔོན་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་), silver, and colors similar to gold. Those lights illuminate everything, the lotus petals are so similar, seeing them is so beautiful. Those gods, dwelling in the houses in the center of the sky, and those on the lotus petals, the retinues who enjoy themselves together with other gods, they are all playing and frolicking. Becoming friends with each other, intoxicated with the same goal, they enter the gaps of the lotus petals in the lake, singing and dancing. Then, those gods walking in the center of the sky, and those gods dwelling in the petals of the huge lotus, all of them in various ways, immersed in great joy, wandering in a playful manner, which is difficult to measure with metaphors. When they play like this, the sounds of songs and music resonate for five hundred yojanas. They enjoy the five perfect sensory pleasures, and the sounds of the large drums with five instruments.
