Because this is the true reason, I have come to your presence. I have taught the Dharma to the other gods who come to play in the vast lotus pond, to increase what is true, to develop what is virtuous, and to ultimately benefit all those who are free from negligence. Therefore, know that I have also come to you, the deity, for these reasons, to do what is pleasing, to do what is agreeable, and to do what is respectful of the Dharma. Then, having heard these words, Musulinda said: Holy one, I also know these qualities of yours, please do not be afraid. You are the virtuous friend, the Bhagavan, who dwells near all these deities who reside in the land of non-contention, please proceed on the King of Garuda. We shall go to the place where there is a vast pool. Here, after they spoke to each other, the King of Garuda was also surrounded by the Lord of Non-Contention and hundreds of thousands of deities, as well as houses and many swans, and approached and went well to that vast lotus pond. From the center of the sky came the sound of music, the sound of drums, and songs, with an extremely virtuous mind, from a pure heart attached to all happiness, walking with caution. Likewise, those who possessed the supreme rays of light, which would enter the places of negligence in such a form, went with the sound of drums and entered this pond named Vast. Then, when they arrived, the other deities, with extremely joyful hearts, saw the sight of playing in the lotus pond, and began to play to their hearts' content. All those deities who were playing, as if making a thick sound, the sounds came from the center of the sky. Having heard them, those sounds were delightful, making one without anger, and pleasing to the ears and mind. Then, all those who arrived entered the lotus

Desiring the happiness of a pond, and also being slightly separated for a moment, all of those became without sound. The realms of such divine substances could not lead, and the wavering mind, abiding constantly with reverence for the Dharma, became an unwavering mind. And having separated from those who especially delight in playing in the water and especially delight in the tips of lotuses, and always looking at the deeds that have been done so that they are not in vain, the lord of non-contention said this to that king who goes in the sky: 'How is it a good time, a good time to teach the Dharma well, this time is also good. Since these gods have become free from satiety, this is a good time to teach the Dharma to these beings, including the gods, here.' Then, the king of the sky-goers, remembering other births, focused on the meaning of teaching that sutra that he had heard in the presence of the Bhagavan, the destroyer of the wheel of existence. Having been silent for a moment, then he began to teach the sutra in that way. 'Gods, listen, these five dharmas are to be condemned, whether it is the gods or humans who indulge in carelessness, it is an unreasonable fault.' What are the five? Like this: acting carelessly because of carelessness; when the mind is distracted, thinking of one thing while saying another. That is also meaningless, doing meaningless things, contradicting the beginning and the end, and not paying attention to others. Why? Because of carelessness, the mind is distracted, so there is no awareness. What did I say, what kind of words did I say, and to whom should I say it? His mind will be distracted and will not abide, so he will say whatever. That will also become dumb, will become disobedient, will become unpleasant, others will also scold him, he will submit himself to everything like grass. These are the first faults, the faults bound by carelessness also...'

Falling into evil destinies, one will be born in any of the three realms of existence. This is the first fault of the heedless. Furthermore, the heedless have a second fault, which is that they do not know what should be done and what should not be done. The mind that has been harmed by heedlessness cannot understand: What are the good deeds that I have done? What are the things that should not be done? What kind of results will those actions become? Since one does not understand actions, one also does not understand their maturation. Therefore, one becomes confused about actions and their results, and this confusion leads to the destruction of the body. Due to the fault of heedlessness, one will fall into evil destinies and be born in hell. Furthermore, the heedless have a third fault, which is that, whether it is a god or a human who guides them, they will rely on non-dharma companions, not be close to the Three Jewels, nor be close to wisdom and discipline, and even less be close to the gurus. They do not understand the difference between faults and merits at all, nor do they understand the suffering of samsara, and they do not understand the various kinds of actions at all, nor do they have the nature of striving without sleeping at night and dawn. After they die, due to the fault of heedlessness, they will fall into evil destinies and be born in hell. Furthermore, the heedless have a fourth fault, which is that, whether it is beings who have already been born or gods, their life activities will eventually be exhausted, and their good deeds will also be exhausted, and the lord of death will come, and those who rely on heedlessness, who were born together, will eventually be separated from it. Whatever these four are, they will definitely be separated together. What are these four? They are youth, health, life, and perfection. These four will definitely be together
