The verses spoken are as follows: The Buddha who has abandoned desires, The mindful one is praised. The nest of aging and death, Mindlessness is defilement. Mindless beings are not liberated, Mindlessness is the fortune of suffering. Mindless death, Cuts off those of inferior intellect. The mindful go to, The abode of the gods of virtue. Therefore, whoever is mindless, Following (mindlessness) will fall again. All mindless beings, Are not liberated from samsara in that way. Those who have their bodies bound, By the rope of mindlessness are closely approached. Non-reality resembles reality, And reality is always like non-reality. Mindless people, See everything in reverse. In the world of meaningless things, Where is there any real good? The wise go beyond the shore of wisdom, And do not praise mindlessness at all. Therefore, one should not rely on mindlessness, That is the first peak of the evil realms. That suffering which makes the place of birth empty, Eliminate it by steadfastly going to the supreme other shore of existence. Thus, at this auspicious time, in front of Musulinda, who was surrounded by hundreds of thousands of gods, the Dharma was preached, and he was diligent for the benefit, desiring to benefit gods and humans. Furthermore, the King of the Garudas also shows the excellence of the Dharma to Musulinda. How do these five become the antidote to mindlessness? For example, here, mindless people will suffer more than all others. By what faults of mindlessness will one be afflicted with suffering? Having recognized that it is full of faults, it should be completely abandoned. Those who have recognized merits and faults, and who have seen merits and faults, when they have completely abandoned it, these will not become meaningless. Nor will they become suffering. Nor will non-virtue increase. One will also act with wisdom. This is one antidote to mindlessness. Furthermore, becoming an antidote to mindlessness

Secondly, what is the antidote (to non-vigilance)? It is seeing the true meaning as it is. Because of seeing the truth, people will be able to fully and thoroughly understand everything, thereby seeing the truth as it is. After realizing the truth, one can understand the faults of non-vigilance, and thus will not be controlled by non-vigilance. Furthermore, the third antidote to non-vigilance is: relying on those who can help people maintain mindfulness. From them, guarding the precepts, perfecting behavior, and learning the actions of body and speech. Living together with those who have the same precepts. Those who know the faults of non-vigilance and completely abandon them will eventually attain liberation. Furthermore, what is the fourth antidote to non-vigilance? That is: those who possess wisdom and discipline are always very happy with wisdom and discipline, thereby completely destroying non-vigilance and fully relying on mindfulness. When non-vigilance is completely destroyed, happiness will be near, and suffering will be far away. Furthermore, they will see the faults of non-vigilance and abandon non-vigilance as it is. This is the fourth antidote to non-vigilance. Furthermore, the fifth antidote to non-vigilance is: seeing as it is how kings or ministers of kings punish those who have committed the offense of non-vigilance. When people see the death penalty caused by non-vigilance, the punishment of depriving all property, the mutilation of the body, the cutting off of arms, or similar punishments, they will also fear other non-vigilance. Because they feel fear, they will completely abandon the defiled non-vigilance, and likewise completely destroy non-vigilance, and fully rely on mindfulness. From this, it can be inferred.

Therefore, they think, 'Let us not commit evil deeds, lest I be born in hell.' Those gods who indulge in negligence commit evil deeds. This is the fifth antidote to negligence. Therefore, those negligences are not beautiful to the gods, nor are they to the people. Having heard those sutras, many gods became exceedingly convinced and completely abandoned negligence. Mucilinda also became exceedingly pleased and rejoiced in all that was spoken by the king of the Garudas, and then again, together with those gods, he ascended into the sky and departed as they had come. Among them, some of the other remaining gods played in that vast space. Some gods, just as they had come, again entered the forests and nearby forests, and the gods also played to their heart's content. As long as desires, beautiful, and pleasing things are done and accumulated, and as long as the good deeds are not exhausted, they play and rejoice in that realm of the gods. When those are exhausted, and having died and transmigrated from that realm of the gods, they will be born in hell, as hungry ghosts, and as animals, according to the karma that draws them near. If someone is born as a human being, sharing the same fate as humans, that will be very happy, because of the similar cause of that karma, he will become calm, live by wisdom, desire to be a king, and be very prosperous. The land that is united with beings is complete. Furthermore, O monks, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, he looks all around at the realm of the gods of the No-Contention. Just as the existing No-Contention ones, called the Radiant Ones, see with the wisdom born of hearing. There, by what karma beings are born, that also is seen by him, that is, the noble person who possesses the meaning of hearing and is endowed with morality, who possesses the supreme right view, who does not cause suffering to others, and is upright.
