Other than conceptual thought itself, such a form of conceptual thought does not arise. For example, a monk should not have conceptual thoughts about women. Such conceptual thought also burns oneself. Just as fire burns with its own conceptual thought. Likewise, conceptual thoughts about women are seen by all groups of foolish beings, even in hundreds and thousands of other rebirths. Poetry also always falls upon women first. Because one is oppressed by conceptual thoughts about women, from the feet to the head, one generates various forms of inappropriate attention, captivating all foolish beings, and poetry greatly praises the parts of a woman's body. One makes offerings. One also places them greatly in the mind. One greatly shows their purity. He himself is led by all inappropriate attention, and he also establishes others in that inappropriate attention. That evil practitioner who extremely hates beautiful poetry becomes empty in meditation practice in this way, and harmful thoughts will obviously increase. Defiled actions will all be completely accumulated, and this person's white dharmas will be exhausted, so he will scold those friends who bring happiness in the next life, those who practice equally with Brahma. Those who compose poetry with bad hearing, for those who always think of carelessness, there are also other great faults: those who especially strive to compose poetry with bad hearing become tireless day and night, and become very diligent in composing poetry. He does not contemplate the true Dharma, does not practice, and does not enter in order to pacify afflictions. Even if his mind is invested in listening, the true Dharma appearing is meaningless, and he will return and leave. Those things that cannot be found even after thousands of kalpas, this evil practitioner who claims to be a practitioner, thus causes them to decline. Those who compose poetry with bad hearing have other great faults:
