I did not give any of the instruments for healing diseases. Those will become obstacles. For example, those who are of bad conduct, lazy, have become old in the past, and are unknown, because of the power of fatness, have become deep, and cannot overcome the unbearable sufferings. Similarly, those who are naturally weak in diligence, whose minds are not subdued, who are lazy, who are afraid of virtue and become foolish when engaging in meditation, and those who are naturally covered by ignorance, also cannot well cross the five rivers. They also cannot well cross the water that has become the unbearable peak of the country. Because that leads them completely, and the heart is also carried away by the river of desire, and wanders completely in the ocean of samsara. What are those thirteen dharmas? For example, assembly, doctor, the work of painting, hearing bad poetry, the movement of stars, the mind of reasoning, subsequently obtaining and accepting respect, a meat-eater who is single-mindedly thinking about alchemy, serving the king, accepting a comfortable seat, not asking, many friends, and dwelling in a cemetery. Those thirteen dharmas will become obstacles when those practitioners who are meditating. Falling from that, they will lose their own benefit. They will also be born in hell, pretas, and animals. Thus, renunciation becomes meaningless. He is neither a householder nor a renunciate. Having completely abandoned virtuous deeds, being reproached by fellow brahmacharis, his conduct is like the sound of a conch shell. Because of the lack of hearing and knowledge, the nirvana that this person thinks of in his mind will also not be achieved. The gods will also abandon him. Therefore, when he first enters meditation, he will be burned, and will also extremely distract the mind, will be very fond of falling, and will regret it later.

All ordained ones should completely abandon this, namely, delighting in assemblies. Delighting in assemblies also means the mind is untamed. Actions that are untamed naturally become wild, therefore, they are always expressed with the mind. The mind is extremely distracted, thoughts are turbulent, relying on such a form of extremely wavering wisdom, and those whose minds have become distracted, always delight in singing and dancing, and always follow along, therefore, they always act in an untamed state, going to cities, small villages, villages, and towns. They always become enthusiastic viewers. Those who always watch assemblies, accompany each other and constantly go from place to place. They go everywhere, and because they are untamed, they are always fond of speaking inappropriate words, focusing on this with a single mind, not staying still day or night. This is because the mind has become distracted and does not possess learning, and they will be condemned by other fellow practitioners of pure conduct. Even a spiritual friend cannot be fully understood by oneself. They perform unwholesome mental actions in the presence of those who uphold morality. When the body is destroyed, they will fall into the lower realms, falling into hell. Furthermore, there are great faults in delighting in assemblies. A bad monk who delights in assemblies, a violator of vows, always likes to listen to the sounds of assemblies, and will become wild. Untamed, the mind is not pacified, relying on his mind, patrons and donors will become powerful, because they are overwhelmed by gain and respect. Furthermore, ordained people have the fault of harsh speech towards others. Furthermore, what are the faults of delighting in assemblies? For example, because one is very fond of assemblies, other ordained people will only like assemblies as well. Completely separated from the excellent Dharma.

It causes (discipline) to decline. Therefore, this person corrupts himself and also corrupts others. He is devoted to the idea of completely losing himself. Such a being should be abandoned by all the Sangha, because this person will also corrupt the monks who possess discipline. Those with discipline should completely abandon this person, this person with the nature of an evil friend is condemned by all who practice Brahmacharya. Furthermore, the faults of gathering are that gatherings are diverse. The sounds of gatherings are also diverse. Various beautiful sounds can also make the mind happy, because one is very attached to sounds, so one trusts them, and with an extremely wavering mind, one experiences joy. A mind stained by desire and without faith will not have faith in anything. Those who indulge in non-Dharma practices will not have faith in it either. He will enjoy all kinds of wrong views that are caused by happiness. He will also speak falsely about it. After his body is destroyed and he dies, he will fall into a bad state, be reborn in hells. The various branches that arise from this gathering will bring many great faults. Then, at that time, the Blessed One Light Protector spoke the verses, as follows: Having verses with many bonds, the mind is distracted in various ways, it will corrupt the Brahmacharya, it will frustrate the path to Nirvana. Constantly engaging in attachment, by nature abandoning discipline, seeing the manifestation of joy in meditation, one should always abandon it. From a single root of distraction, attachment to thoughts will be extremely corrupting, it will corrupt the Brahmacharya that clearly shows Nirvana. It will ward off suffering, it will cause one to fall from the path to higher realms. Abandoned by the world of messengers to the birthplace of animals. Abandon even the name of gathering, the mother of all of Samsara. Possessing correct meditative absorption.
