The second ground is like this, it is the nature of crystal. All those places also have gods with various forms of decoration, those parts are extremely bright, whenever they go to the side of that mountain. At that time, everything turns into the color of crystal, turning into those harmonious forms and the same components as it. Also, the third side of that mountain piled up in the void is the nature of silver. Its light must shine five hundred yojanas. That extremely white, extremely shining, and extremely pleasing side, no matter which gods approach, will also become bright decorations and adornments in the same way, shining from a single color, the same color as that extremely white and extremely bright mountain. Also, the fourth side of that mountain is the nature of Jambu River gold, appearing like the sun in the vicinity, extremely brilliant, its light shining a thousand yojanas, burning and dense like a whole, it makes the sky completely bright. No matter which gods dwell and move everywhere from the sky on that surface, all those will turn into the color of pure gold nature because of its light. In addition, the fifth surface of that mountain piled up in the void appears similar to the light of red lotus jewel. The vicinity of that side all appears extremely red, its rays of light must shine a thousand yojanas. No matter which gods go to that surface, all those will also turn into various forms, appearing extremely red in color. No matter which rubies are well worn on the body, those will become more than a hundred times more precious jewels, this is because of the special nature of the light on the side of that mountain. In addition, the sixth surface of that mountain is the color similar to diamond, its light also spreads throughout a thousand yojanas. From all the vicinity, billions of lights like rainbows will also shine. No matter which gods go to that surface, those are also similar to rainbows.

It turns into that color because of the glory of that mountain towering in the sky. Furthermore, the seventh face of that mountain is the nature of the seven jewels, and that face is adorned only by those seven kinds of jewels, and whichever gods go there, they will all adorn their bodies with various kinds of ornaments. The clothes also become various kinds. The light of that face is also thousands of yojanas, so the vicinity of that mountain towering in the sky is particularly bright with glory. Similarly, the king of mountains, the Mount Meru above, is also like that. The king of mountains, Mount Meru, cannot match even one hundredth or one thousandth of the rays of light of the mountain towering in the sky, or the joyful rays, or the rays of jewels, or the joyful rays of jewels. That mountain is so joyful. Why is that? Because of the power of virtuous deeds, those who are free from strife have well accomplished the most excellent and completely pure deeds, therefore, it is more joyful than all places in all its vicinity. Furthermore, in the vicinity of that mountain, everything possesses the most pure glory and excellence, and the mountain completely covered by the net of supreme pearls, because it arises entirely from well-done deeds, the collection of pearl strands hangs down, and it is as beautiful as a great city imagined with longing, hung with pearl strands, and it emits sound in that way. That net becomes very vast, and on that side, hundreds and thousands of various kinds of birds reside, and the birds residing on that side also call out to the gods who have become heedless, and the gods who act heedlessly, and those birds speak to those gods in verses called "various expressions." For example: By the power of various karmas, the gods have obtained this life. Having obtained it, if one does not know the Dharma, later one will suffer. In this delightful grove and garden, in the vines, platforms, and mandalas, this

The fruits born from all virtuous deeds, in whatever way, having done the work that makes them beautiful, then in the same way, one sees the fruits following after. For the gods, even individually, one sees happiness that is inferior to the supreme. Whatever is done in whatever way, that fruit is just like that. Gods who go under the control of ignorance, possessing various kinds of ignorant characteristics, their minds are extremely confused, and they do not see the great terror because of ignorance. Filled with various kinds of ignorance and recklessness, they do not do what is beneficial to themselves, craving various kinds of desires and pleasures, wanting various kinds of fruits, but doing nothing, the minds of those gods are ignorant. Whatever pleasing fruits arise, whatever changes are certain to occur, they abandon the lamp and look supremely at the light. Whoever is like a fruit, the desiring god is the supreme holy one. Whoever knows cause and effect, is a fortunate one who possesses happiness. There is no fruit without a seed, where is the light without a lamp? Without discipline there is no higher realm, without wisdom what path to liberation? If there is liberation, then that is happiness. Abandoning desire is protection, liberation from the craving of desire, and being without self is also wise. If these pleasures born from karma, all of them are accompanied by defilements. What is the ultimate refuge? That is all the memory without stains. People, even after hundreds of kalpas, are never satisfied with sense objects. Whatever happiness there is, they are never satisfied by relying on sense objects. If they rely on them, they will want permanence, wanting them again and again, they will continue to grow, that growth is like poison, it is a wrong view. Skilled in decline, terrifying, are many causes of constant falling. Even if they do not completely abandon those, most of those who have lost their eyes will fall. Those who fully know faults and virtues, those are the characteristics of the wise. Those who do not fully know faults and virtues, those are the actions of the ignorant. For virtues, there is the mind of virtue, and so it is for faults. Those who know faults and virtues, are always fortunate to possess happiness. For them, knowing the faults and virtues of those sense objects, that is what they want here. After completely abandoning wisdom, how do the gods rely on sense objects? Like that, those birds are pearls of...
