Thus, one goes to a place called the Jewel Garden. In that garden, all the jewel trees are clear and bright, and the trees are covered with flowers and fruits. The flowers and leaves are abundant, as clear as crystal or as clear as a mirror. The fruits are born square and round, and are as clear as a mirror. Then, when the god enters that garden, he sees hundreds of thousands of images of his own body appear. Seeing those very large images, adorned with garlands of flowers and ointments, he becomes a hundred times more arrogant, thinking, "Alas, so many forms of my image appear, such forms do not appear to other gods." The world-protector with the bad eye enters that garden and contemplates the affairs of the world. The power of that garden is such that if the yakshas who roam on the earth and in the sky have done good or evil by the power of the beings of Jambudvipa, if they are not quickly subdued, then it is seen in that garden of jewel trees whether they are in accordance with human dharma or not, and later the yakshas report the forms of human actions to the great king. Then, the bad eye, seeing all the human dharma and non-dharma done by humans, rejoices in that garden. If things happen that are not in accordance with human dharma and do not follow the dharma, then good and non-good things are reported to Indra in the same way. Thus, having seen the power of that garden, the god then becomes intoxicated in that garden with various desires of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, and enjoys pleasing desires as long as the karma he has done and accumulated is not exhausted, and then he is happy there. Then he will die from that world of the gods, and after dying, he will be born in the cycle of existence in hell, among the pretas, and among the animals, just as karma leads him. If he has equal fortune with humans, he will be born among humans.

If born there, one can always have the right view in accordance with that, and it is seen that one will reach the realm of Dharma and become a great achiever. Furthermore, O Bhikshu, one who knows the ripening of the fruits of karma contemplates the third place of the gods with joy. He does not see the other eleven places of those gods. The four abodes of the gods of the Four Great Kings are merely called "All-pervading." Those gods revolve on the surface of Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains. Whatever gods possess immeasurable palaces, other heretics perceive them as planets, stars, and constellations. If one counts those roughly, there are thirty-six million. Then, wondering what karma causes birth there, he investigates with the knowledge arising from hearing. There, too, one is born through the sevenfold discipline of body and speech in various ways. In short, there are three forms of body and four forms of speech. In brief, beings are born there through various fruits of the power of karma. Therefore, one should understand through the distinctions of the causes of virtuous and non-virtuous deeds done by beings. The sun and moon also cause those all-pervading gods to revolve in the place where they revolve on the surface of Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains. By what is done by what is called the revolving wind wheel, all those gods revolve around that Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains. In the vast space between them, the world-protectors Dhritarashtra and Kubera reside. Those gods, together with those great kings, wander throughout the four continents. In the immeasurable palaces of various jewels such as blue, yellow, and green, they are joined as before. As long as the karma of making and accumulating desirable and pleasing desires has not been exhausted, those all-pervading ones rejoice in those five desirable qualities of desire as they wish. When their karma is exhausted, then, just as karma approaches, beings will be born in hells, among pretas, and among animals. If one is born among humans with equal fortune to humans, one can always be in
