A delightful grove where lotuses bloom, adorned with gardens and forests, a place where the gods of the high heavens rejoice—all of that is the fruit born from virtuous deeds. Abodes in immeasurable palaces in the sky, adorned with the jewels of the gods, where the gods are immaculate and clear—those are the fruits of moral discipline. Gold and various kinds of flowers, everywhere on the mountaintops, whatever makes the gods rejoice—that is the fruit born from moral discipline. Just as people enter their own homes and become free from fear, so too, by rightly practicing moral discipline, people go to the abodes of the gods. Thus, the fragrance of entering the realm of the gods, the sweet fragrance of those who possess supreme moral discipline, is not comparable to the fragrance of cassia, Saraca asoca, or champak. Whoever completely protects moral discipline, those are the essence of life. Whoever completely abandons moral discipline will suffer an unbearable death in the midst of dying. Also, wishing to be constantly loved by me, having understood these qualities, one should carefully guard moral discipline and completely abandon immoral conduct. One who guards moral discipline is always gentle, endowed with patience, and pleasing to behold, ascending as if on a staircase, one goes to the assembly of the gods. Thus, that monk saw the gods who engage in their own deeds, and also saw the various fruits of karma, and thus became detached from desire in samsara. Those gods dwelling in the Red City also rejoice there, play, and indulge in pleasures as long as the karma they have created, which is lovely, pleasing, and excellent, has not been exhausted. Afterward, they will die from that class of gods, and after dying, if they are not born into hell, the realm of hungry ghosts, or the animal realm due to karma that must be experienced in other rebirths, but are born among humans, sharing the same fate as humans, then, because it is consistent with the cause and effect of previous virtuous deeds, all the people in the world will rejoice, and he will be born with much wealth and without harm in the south, so he sees. Then, again, that monk, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, contemplates the abodes of the gods who are always intoxicated; through the knowledge he has gained from hearing, he sees how the various abodes of the gods who are always intoxicated are situated.

There, wondering which of the sentient beings would be born, he investigated with the wisdom arising from hearing. Like this, whoever has a mind, has a heart moistened by the mind, if he gives food, drink, edibles, and various vegetables to sentient beings who possess discipline, then after separating from the body, he will be reborn in the happy realms, among the various gods of the heavens. Born from various actions, he enjoys various pleasures, rests in various servants and beds, in the delightful gardens, he engages in various amusements and plays, goes to various gardens and parks, the groups of goddesses holding various ornaments follow behind, he dwells in various gardens, forests, mountains, rivers, lotus ponds, utpala flowers, flowers, and fruit tree gardens, he enjoys various clothes, bedding, and splendid gardens, tells stories of Ga-zhi, likes noise, and is nourished by various intense minds of attachment, he likes what is born from discrimination, and his mind is extremely infatuated and intoxicated. Like this, having done various actions and practiced various causes, he experiences various pleasures in the various gardens. Then, that monk was very happy and said in verses like this: The paintings of the painter, that is not various inquiries, who is the painter of karma, draws many in the heavens. Paintings drawn with paint will not change, that can be counted, but the paintings drawn by karma are countless, that is drawn by the mind. When the wall is broken, surely also, all the paintings will be destroyed, the paintings drawn by karma, even if the body is broken, will not be destroyed. Just like a painter, draws various kinds of pictures, similarly, the mind is the only one, but it can create various kinds of actions. Just like five bright colors, the paintings drawn appear bright and splendid, similarly, the function of the five senses, with karma constantly draws in samsara. The painters, appear in many ways, but the painter's mind is very subtle, so it cannot be seen anywhere. The picture is beautiful and beautiful.
