There, one contemplates the place of intoxication. Through the wisdom arising from hearing, one sees how the gods constantly dwell in the place of intoxication, in the color of Utpala. Thinking about which sentient beings will be born there, one examines with the wisdom arising from hearing. Whoever possesses Dharma and follows Dharma, whoever possesses morality, whoever gives rise to this Utpala flower in this way, thinking, 'May this be enjoyed by the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha,' and also makes offerings and holds it joyfully in their mind, upon separating from their body, they will be born among the gods of Utpala color in the world of good rebirth and higher realms. Having been born there, they are accompanied by those who play in the heavenly realm and enjoy all pleasures, playing with joy, delighting, boasting, being charming, with the sound of musical instruments, songs, and dances. They dwell in many pleasures. From garden to garden, and in the beautiful shade of the gardens of lapis lazuli, and on the pleasant ground of pure gold and coral-like substances, they wander in places that are appropriately high and low. They are completely surrounded by many hosts of goddesses. They eat delicious food. All desires that are pleasing are fulfilled merely by thinking. They dwell on many mountains of their own nature. They obtain the supreme bliss from bliss. The five senses are attached to the five objects and rejoice, enjoying themselves as if it were a single day. A body like a blue lotus and the color of lapis lazuli wanders from Utpala garden to Utpala garden. The fragrance of Utpala rises for a hundred yojanas. That sweet fragrance of Utpala overwhelms all other sweet fragrances of divine flowers, and is as beautiful as a king. The Buddhas who have perfectly awakened to complete and perfect enlightenment have spoken of the sequence of causes and the arising of effects in accordance with causes. Having gone to the higher realms, they also obtain many kinds of joy from those Utpala flowers. Having acted in this way and dwelling in bliss, delighting in the arising of the six senses, as long as the karma of desirable and pleasing actions that have been done and accumulated has not been exhausted, they rejoice there. Afterwards, they will die from that heavenly realm, die.

Moreover, if due to karma that will be experienced for other times, sentient beings are not born in hell, hungry ghosts, and animals, but are born among humans with equal fortune, then due to being in accordance with that karma, he will be born in places where many flowers grow and are prosperous, and he will be seen as very vast, possessing great happiness, and harmless. Then, monks, those who know the ripening of the fruits of karma will contemplate the abodes of the gods who are always in a state of intoxication. With the wisdom that comes from hearing, he sees how the abode of the gods who are always in a state of intoxication in the heavenly realm, called White Lotus Practice, exists. Thinking, which sentient beings will be born there? He investigates with the wisdom that comes from hearing, that whoever possesses discipline, is free from the defilements of body and speech, has a heart fully cultivated with compassion, plants lotus gardens for the purpose of offering flowers to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and also has faith in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, that person, after separating from the body, will be born among the gods of the White Lotus Practice in the happy realm of heaven. Having been born there, he enjoys the fruits of well-done deeds, such as: the body is adorned with ornaments, jewels, and various lights; he is worshiped by all the assemblies of gods; he is surrounded by assemblies of goddesses holding flower garlands; the body is adorned with the light of vajra, turquoise, emerald, coral, and hanging ornaments; he is extremely happy, dwelling in play, dwelling in a delightful garden that is in harmony with the heavens, and constantly experiencing happiness, until the karma of having done and accumulated desirable and pleasing deeds has not been exhausted, he will experience that incomparable happiness, which has many great qualities, together with all beings, without harming others, and without any afflictions. Thereafter, he will die from that heavenly world, and after dying, if due to karma that will be experienced for other times, sentient beings, hell and hungry ghosts
