That person will enjoy happiness there at that time. Afterwards, he will die from there, and after dying, he will be reborn in the hells of sentient beings, pretas, and animals, just as karma approaches. If, due to the karma to be experienced in other instances, he shares the same fate as humans and is born among humans, then due to that karma, he will be born among those who dwell in groves, becoming wealthy, unharmed by others, and able to enjoy freely. Then, monk, that one who knows the ripening of the fruits of karma, after examining all ten abodes of the garland-bearing gods without omission, will examine the other gods called "holding fly-whisks in their hands." He wonders, "In which abode do those gods dwell, and how many are content and in accordance with their own minds?" He examines it with the knowledge that comes from hearing. Like this, the gods holding fly-whisks in their hands also have ten abodes, namely: wandering in lotuses, pleasant sound of bees, attachment to sound, delighting in the pride of fragrance, enjoying the wind, delighting in flower garlands, looking everywhere, always rejoicing, attachment to fragrance, and liberation on the crown of the head. These ten are the abodes of the gods holding fly-whisks in their hands. In those places, by what separate actions will the gods be born in the world of gods? He examines it with the knowledge that comes from hearing. If one is endowed with morality, practices the ultimate of virtuous actions, possesses a mind that cultivates the mind, and prostrates to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha three times, then there, he generates the karma to ultimately pass completely beyond sorrow. Whatever is the ripening of the state of a human, when the time of death comes and the body separates, he will be reborn in the world of happiness and high realms, in the abode of the gods holding fly-whisks in their hands, called "wandering in lotuses." Having been born there, that abode possesses five qualities: unblinking eyes attached to extremely delicious tastes, a body as bright as the sun, great joy in the desires, sufferings, and pleasures of the gods, and adorned with lotuses of the color of water birds, and lotus
