This brings it about. In places filled with various fragrances, one can also hear the sweet sounds of birds. The distinction there is that even the ensemble of five human musical instruments cannot match one-sixteenth of it. Thus, their eyes are also thoroughly satisfied by the various sights. Their ears are also delighted by various kinds of music and songs. Their skin is also softened by unspun clothes. Their noses are also perfumed by various kinds of divine fragrances. Thus, those who are attached to the five senses enjoy various kinds of pleasures, and many happinesses that are continuous, not stolen by others, and cannot be created by others, and also taste divine foods and drinks, which are colorful, fragrant, and delicious. They also go there to enjoy themselves, enjoying themselves according to their own karma. Thus, they wander from garden to garden, from lotus pond to lotus pond, from nearby gardens to nearby gardens, surrounded by many goddesses, wandering everywhere and dwelling in various kinds of happiness. When they enjoy the fruits of their deeds, which are pleasant and satisfying, they are surrounded by trees that possess their own light, and hearing the sounds of golden birds, their hearts are delighted and their ears are pleased. Thus, they experience countless incomparable pleasures of divine form, which cannot be stolen by others, for as long as their deeds, which are pleasant and satisfying, produced by the sacred field, and will ultimately lead to liberation from suffering, are not exhausted. When their karma is exhausted and they later die from the heavenly realm, after death they will also be reborn among hell beings, pretas, and animals, according to how their own karma leads them. If, due to karma that allows them to truly experience things individually, they are reborn among humans, then they will become rulers of cities or small towns, possessing much wealth, vast wisdom, many servants, extreme happiness, and through good cultivation of good fields, they will ultimately see liberation from suffering. Then, monks, understanding the ripening of the fruits of karma, is the place where the garland of gods is tied.

He contemplates on this. Through the wisdom arising from hearing, he sees how the abode of the gods, called the swift-going place of the gods, abides in the abodes of the heavenly realms. There, wondering which sentient beings will be born there, he investigates with the wisdom arising from hearing. Whoever possesses morality, when creatures are burned in the gaps of a garden burned by fire, if he pours water to free them and protects those facing death in an instant from fear, then, upon separating from the body, he will be born in the happy realm, the high world, among those who hold garlands of gods. Having been born there, he also gives fearlessness. Born from the cause of morality that gives fearlessness, he will experience that incomparable bliss of the gods. He will obtain pleasant forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile sensations, and will be completely surrounded by hundreds of thousands of goddesses, and surrounded by many hundreds of assemblies that play music, dance, and enjoy themselves with joy. The great immeasurable palace is adorned with golden railings, the sound of bells intensely rings, the windows are covered with pearl nets, and adorned with hundreds of blue jewels, he is surrounded by many goddesses who make him happy. Whichever goddess he sees, he becomes attached to them, generates joy towards them, becomes fond of them, and becomes infatuated with them. When he experiences bliss, he is surrounded by countless goddesses adorned with various ornaments and attire, whose bodies are always anointed with perfumes, and who are always full of joy. Seeing those who are in accordance with the Dharma in this way, he becomes very happy. The sounds that the ear hears are also many kinds of desirable and pleasing sounds, such as the golden bird's feet and coral-red beak, and the various sounds of mountains, rivers, and those dwelling in crevices. Some of those that cannot be compared are round, making one very happy. Some dart through the mountains, some dart through the flowers, some swim in the water, some dart in the sky, and some dart on cliffs and in medicinal groves.
