Those who were strictly guarded placed Indra before all the gods in order to defeat the Asuras. Then, when he clearly saw that it had become dim, the lord of the Asuras, the good weaver, etc., holding various weapons in their hands, making a cheering army, and in order to strike Indra, they were going to where Indra was. Then, when the gods clearly saw that the four lords of the Asuras were coming to attack Indra alone, the gods, in order to serve Indra's army, showed their strength and were going to where Indra was. Then, Indra clearly saw those who were coming, and being very angry, he set out and said: Animal, why are you so foolish? Even if your army like this temporarily belongs to all the Asuras, I alone can defeat them. Why is that? Because the army of these is Dharma, the army of the gods is Dharma. The army of the Asuras is not Dharma. The difference between Dharma and non-Dharma is great, that difference is as great as darkness and the sun. That difference is as great as truth and falsehood. That difference is as great as Mount Meru and a mustard seed. That difference is as great as liberation and bondage. That difference is as great as edible and inedible. That difference is as great as nectar and poison. That difference is as great as night and day. That difference is as great as pearls and jewels. That difference is as great as poverty and wealth. That difference is as great as what should be done and what should not be done. That difference is as great as the sun and a firefly. That difference is as great as wind in anger and a firefly. That difference is as great as visible and invisible. That difference is as great as the right path and the wrong path. That difference is as great as the Buddha and other heretics. That difference is as great as the sky and the earth. That difference is as great as a kalpa and a moment, and the difference between you and me is so great. You value non-Dharma, but we value Dharma. You are of inferior wisdom, while the gods are of wisdom.

Having understood that those deities are like that, it is not appropriate for you to run to us. After saying those words, the elephant son named Protector of the Earth turned around and also spoke these verses: Dharma defeats non-dharma. Truth defeats falsehood. Wisdom defeats ignorance. Gods defeat non-gods. After he said those words, the elephant son named Protector of the Earth turned around, and the manifestation was the same as before. To where all four lords of the Asuras were, the lord of the gods, Indra with a thousand vajras, arrived. With just a threatening gesture, he kills and binds with his mind, without a particularly strong desire, he runs very quickly with the force of the wind. Those Asuras run, and having clearly seen those coming, the Four Great Kings and the Thirty-Three Gods also run. When the gods and Asuras destroy each other, each wanting to win, attacking each other, becoming chaotic, some Asuras lose their lives. Likewise, some Asuras are exhausted by suffering and then return. Some return in frustration. Some sit staring with wide eyes. Some sit thinking of returning to their own abode.
