那些守护者是谁呢？他们就这样分别考察整个赡部洲。他们赡部洲中，有具足正法且随顺正法的人，敬重母亲，敬重父亲，敬重沙门，敬重婆罗门，守护种族中的长者，看到赡部洲的人们都具足一切正法。他们如此知晓后心生欢喜，像射出的箭一样极其迅速地来到天神之主帝释天所在之处，那些内心极其欢喜的人们对天神之主帝释天如此说道：天神之主帝释天，请您欢喜！赡部洲中有具足正法且随顺正法的人，敬重母亲，敬重父亲，敬重沙门，敬重婆罗门，守护种族中的长者，布施，行善，因此天神的一方日益增盛，而非天神的一方则完全衰减。如此说完之后，天神之主帝释天内心极其欢喜，对守护世间者们说道：如此赡部洲中有具足正法且随顺正法的人，因此，我们应当战胜非天神的一方，诸位天神都应当心生欢喜！听到此言后，天神们生起极大的欢喜，以增长十倍欢喜的力量对帝释天说道：天神之主，您要前往何处？您要前往何处？请您前去战胜敌人！依靠您的恩德，我们定能战胜非天神们。如此说完之后，天神之主对龙王财增之子和坚固者等如此说道：为了摧毁不具足正法的龙族摧毁者等，以及非天神善巧编织者和极喜者等一切，你们快去！快去！如此说完之后，龙族之主坚固者和财增之子等龙族之主，那些不具足正法且不随顺正法，处于非天神一方的摧毁者等所在之处，以愤怒的力量像降下火雨一般奔去。之后

In Jambudvipa, there are people who possess Dharma and follow Dharma, respect mothers, respect fathers, respect ascetics, respect Brahmins, protect the elders of the lineage, and see that the people of Jambudvipa are endowed with all Dharmas. Having known this, they rejoice and come as swiftly as an arrow to where the lord of the gods, Indra, is. Those who are very happy say to Indra, the lord of the gods: May Indra, the lord of the gods, be pleased! In Jambudvipa, there are people who possess Dharma and follow Dharma, respect mothers, respect fathers, respect ascetics, respect Brahmins, protect the elders of the lineage, give alms, and do good deeds. Therefore, the side of the gods is increasing, and the side of the non-gods is completely decreasing. Having said this, Indra, the lord of the gods, is very pleased and says to the protectors of the world: Since there are people in Jambudvipa who possess Dharma and follow Dharma, we should defeat the side of the non-gods, and all of you gods should rejoice! Having heard this, the gods feel great joy, and with the strength of joy increased tenfold, they say to Indra: Lord of the gods, where are you going? Where are you going? Please go and conquer the enemy! By your grace, we will surely defeat the non-gods. And it arises and occurs. Except for having their heads cut off, the enemies of the gods will also be pacified. Just as harm is caused when asuras attack humans with weapons, the same thing happens to the asuras as well. Such is the difference between gods and asuras. Similarly, such is the difference between the gods holding parasols and the asuras belonging to Rahu. Then, the gods holding parasols, without taking up a mountain peak, ran to the asura Kalapa, and by raining down the mountain like rain, they destroyed a hundred or a thousand armies of those asuras. Seeing them destroyed, Rahu took up a mountain three yojanas high and ran. The gods holding parasols, seeing them coming like that, took up weapons and tools and ran to the asura Kalapa. By raining down weapons like rain, they pulverized that mountain like sand and threw it into the ocean. Seeing it coming like that, Rahu, the lowest of sentient beings by nature of animals, was completely discouraged. When weapons rained down like rain, they ran to the asura's army Kalapa. The asura chief Firm, seeing them coming, said to his retinue: 'Can't this one, who is as tall as two Mount Merus, alone cut off and eliminate all these gods?' Like this, just being huge in size has exhausted his strength, becoming weak, so that the gods praise, want protection, seek refuge, desire help, and run to the asura Kalapa, this fellow who is like an ordinary asura is weak and should be despised. Those gods holding parasols who stand fighting in front of him are courageous.' Having said that, the asura chief Firm, together with his retinue and the extremely vast asura, along with necklaces, ran to the god holding parasols Kalapa for battle. The gods, seeing Firm and them coming together, said to the gods holding garlands: 'Like this, Firm himself is leading all the gods holding parasols to come.
