Therefore, all those who possess weapons, whether hundreds, thousands, millions, or billions seeking weapons, proceed to the garden of various chariots. As they run, a sound like the churning of the ocean arises, and the gods rush towards each other, with extremely coarse dust spreading, obscuring the sky, and the scene appears like that. Thus, having taken up their weapons, those who travel in the sky do so in the sky, those who travel on land do so on land, and those who travel on mountain peaks spread throughout all the mountain peaks. Other gods, whether dwelling in gardens and forests, or on mountain peaks, upon hearing the sound of drums, also rush to the garden of various chariots. All desires of the thirty-three gods are abandoned, and all run. Hundreds, thousands, millions, and hundreds of thousands of weapons, tools, and armor are taken up, and they all desire to see Indra and sit down. Then, Indra, realizing their enthusiasm, makes all the gods very happy and rides on many chariots. Some chariots are adorned with the seven precious jewels, some with gold, some with silver, some with lapis lazuli, some with crystal, some with cat's eye and other great jewels, and some with various jewels, and covered with nets of bells and chimes, all beautiful, as if having obtained the best result of karma, always adorned with their own splendor, and some are spread over the peaks of golden Mount Meru. Hundreds or thousands fly in the sky, thinking: When shall we set out to defeat the Asura, the lord of the gods? They gaze intently at Indra and sit down. Thus, they sit talking to each other. All those with minds set on battle sit down. As they sit like that, the lord of the gods commands the elephant driver Matali: Go well, I shall ride my elephant, the son of the earth guardian, possessing all the qualities of all elephants, with six tusks, and I shall defeat the Asuras.

Then, he spoke to the elephant named Changshe: 'The king of the gods, the hundred gods, summons you, to ride you in the battle with the non-gods and defeat the non-gods.' Then the son of the elephant king Protector of the Earth, Matali, went there and arrived at the assembly place of the gods, the Good Dharma Hall. Upon arriving there, Matali said to the hundred gods: 'King of the gods, the best of elephants is here.' The hundred gods, by their miraculous power, transformed its body into a hundred perfect manifestations, each manifestation having ten white teeth, each tooth having ten lotus ponds, each lotus pond having a thousand lotuses, each lotus having ten mountains, each mountain having a hundred peaks, each peak having a hundred goddesses, playing music with five kinds of instruments, singing and dancing, singing very beautiful and unique songs. Thus, the king of the gods, the hundred gods, manifests as the son of the elephant king Protector of the Earth. That elephant king's body is a thousand yojanas in all respects. The king of the gods, the hundred gods, in order to defeat the non-gods, amidst the sounds of various instruments, music, songs, clamor, and creaking sounds, rode upon that magnificently adorned white elephant king, possessing such qualities in every way. Then, seeing it advance, the gods also rode on chariots of various colors, holding various weapons, wearing various ornaments on their bodies, emitting laughter, playful sounds, and the sound of 'di-ri-ri', their minds filled with joy. Then, the king of the gods, the hundred gods, sat on the central seat, possessing great power of merit, surrounded by many gods, uniquely majestic, surrounded by various kinds of gods, the lord of the Thirty-Three filling the sky with light exceeding a hundred thousand suns.

I, when filled with various kinds of cymbal sounds and songs, filling the sky with twenty thousand yojanas, enter the place where the gods and asuras fight. When it enters, the world protectors utter fearful sounds and go before Indra, saying thus: O King of the Gods, Rahu and Vemacitrin are coming to defeat the gods. Thus, all the oceans are violently churned, and thousands of mountains are violently shaken. The asuras utter pleasing sounds, and a very frightening sound is heard. Having heard this, the power of the fish and nagas dwelling in the ocean also becomes small, and the rakshasas and flesh-eaters also die. The lawless naga kings, such as Ravana, are very happy and utter dragon roars. The lawful naga kings, such as Dhrtarashtra and the son of Vaisravana, think: The asura king Vemacitrin has come from beneath the earth, their minds become dejected, and they do not utter dragon roars. All sixty thousand golden mountains, including Mount Meru, are shaken. All beings become lazy, holding garlands, always dwelling in intoxication, holding fans, and the third lute holder, who are very lazy, are sent to the King of the Gods. Please accomplish whatever should be done by the gods. Those like us are able to defeat the three asura kings belonging to the three places, Garland, Rahu, and Steadfast, a hundred or a thousand times in battle. Having heard this from the world protectors, the King of the Gods said to them: O world protectors, I fully know all these things. Because Rahu and Vemacitrin are advancing, I will also stop them by destroying them, and in order to protect and support those gods, I should go. I am the refuge of Dharma, the ally of Dharma, the reliance of Dharma, the banner of Dharma, the seeker of Dharma. I do not like things that are not in accordance with Dharma, and my mind will not accept things that are not in accordance with Dharma. Therefore, those like us who possess such qualities will never be defeated.
