Do not be afraid, do not be afraid! I will also lead an extremely large army to where the Asuras are. Do not be afraid of them! In Jambudvipa, there are still many who hold, hold each other, hold the position of renunciates, hold the position of Brahmins, repay kindness, possess the Dharma and protect the Dharma, delight in the sacred Dharma, respect the sacred Dharma and the Sangha, understand the truth of karma and its results, abide near the fast, give various alms, cultivate the nature of doing good, become accustomed to wisdom, and focus their minds on it. I will also cultivate the Dharma nature that accords with the Dharma, and even we few need not fear those who belong to the Asura ranks. Having spoken these words, the lord of the gods went to where Mount Vaiḍūrya was, and to where the gods of the Four Great Kings were. When he saw them directly, the lord of the gods said: O guardians of the world, these gods of the Four Great Kings are assembled here in order to defeat the Asuras. When the lord of the gods had spoken these words, the guardians of the world replied: Indeed, these gods of the Four Great Kings rely on you, Indra, seek your protection, and only abide in you. Even the lord of the Asuras and his retinue are not taken into account. When they said this, the gods of the Thirty-Three said to Indra: O lord of the gods, Indra, please lead us to victory! They praised and extolled him frankly. The assembly of gods praised him and proceeded to where the gods of the Four Great Kings were. Then, the lord of the gods and his retinue were completely surrounded by countless chariots and the assembly of gods. Hearing this, the gods of the Four Great Kings were overjoyed and said: "King of the Gods, like this, we alone can defeat these Asuras, let alone with you, the King of the Gods! Because your army protects us, there is no fear whatsoever belonging to the Asuras." Having said this, those who only wanted to look at the Asuras, facing Indra, the king of the gods, surrounded him completely. Those who were seated thought: "When will the Asura king Takshasaris, together with the Asura kings Rahu, Steadfast, and Garland, come?" Like this, those who wore impenetrable iron armor, held various weapons in their hands, and set out for battle to defeat the Asuras, with one mind, rode on chariots adorned with various jewels. Like this, the Nagas, holders of the world, who possessed Dharma and followed Dharma, and the son of Wealth Increase, etc., were fully prepared for battle, watching Indra and respectfully receiving his commands. They thought: "What commands will Indra give?" And they sat like that. Like this, for those who wanted to thoroughly understand all the corners under the earth, the four lords of the Asuras were completely surrounded by all the Asura retinues, holding countless weapons and tools in their hands, tightly grasped in their hands, and held tightly with their fingers, distinguishing them in various ways. Behind them, hundreds of thousands of armies surrounded them, shaking Mount Meru with great power, together with all those Asuras, possessing extraordinarily powerful armies and diligence, and being skilled in countless weapons.

པ། 犹如两座须弥山般争斗时，不具佛法、不依佛法的龙王饶迥等，被土地之主塔香热等、饶郭完全包围。之后，诸天与非天如此安住，诸天以充满天空的方式安住，非天也以覆盖大海的方式安住，以惊奇之心彼此热衷于争斗，想要互相争斗。如此，龙王乔波与诺杰之子等，以及诸位护世者一同安住，（他们说道）天神之王啊，为何您不命令我们与这些在您面前如此安住的非天战斗呢？之后，天神之王对他们说道：如此，应迅速派遣护世者前往赡部洲，询问赡部洲是否有接受供养者、布施者、具足佛法且依佛法而行之人？如此考察后，便能击败非天。诸天乃是佛法的守护者，是佛法的居所，佛法兴盛则诸天兴盛，佛法衰败则诸天衰败。因此，我应派遣护世者前往人间赡部洲。说完之后，天神之王帝释天告诫诸护世者：你们应迅速前往赡部洲，详细观察那些具足佛法且依佛法而行、接受供养者、布施者、 依随种姓之主者、临近斋戒者、行布施者、守护戒律者、谨慎之人安住于谨慎，依随各自的佛法而行之人。如此告诫后，四位护世者如射出的箭般迅速前往赡部洲。到达后，从一处到另一处，从一村到另一村，从一城到另一城，从一镇到另一镇，从十字路口到十字路口，从一地到另一地，从一区域到另一区域，在所有地方分别进行考察，询问：这些人中，谁是接受供养者、布施者、视为沙门者、视为婆罗门者？种姓的长老们（在哪里）？

When fighting like two Mount Sumerus, the dragon king Raqiong and others, who do not possess the Dharma and do not follow the Dharma, were completely surrounded by the lord of the earth, Tagzangri, and Rabgo. Then, the gods and non-gods dwelled in this way. The gods dwelled by filling the sky, and the non-gods also dwelled by covering the ocean. With a mind of wonder, they were very eager to fight each other, wanting to fight each other. Thus, the dragon king Jowo and the son of Norgye, and the guardians of the world dwelled together. (They said,) "King of the gods, why do you not command us to fight with these non-gods who dwell before you in this way?" Then, the king of the gods said to them: "Thus, the guardians of the world should be quickly sent to Jambudvipa to ask whether there are people in Jambudvipa who accept offerings, give alms, possess the Dharma and follow the Dharma? After investigating in this way, the non-gods can be defeated. The gods are the protectors of the Dharma, the abode of the Dharma. When the Dharma flourishes, the gods flourish, and when the Dharma declines, the gods decline. Therefore, I should send the guardians of the world to the human realm of Jambudvipa." After speaking, the king of the gods, Indra, admonished the guardians of the world: "You should quickly go to Jambudvipa and carefully observe those who possess the Dharma and follow the Dharma, those who accept offerings, those who give alms, following the lord of the lineage, those who are close to the Uposatha, those who give alms, those who keep the precepts, those who are mindful abide in mindfulness, those who follow their own Dharma. After admonishing in this way, the four guardians of the world went to Jambudvipa as quickly as an arrow shot. After arriving, from one place to another, from one village to another, from one city to another, from one town to another, from one crossroads to another, from one land to another, from one region to another, they separately investigated in all places, asking: "Among these people, who are those who accept offerings, those who give alms, those who are regarded as ascetics, those who are regarded as Brahmins? Where are the elders of the lineage?
