My power is, by what difference, are we who are in form and power, not even a little small. Then, where the work was done, the Blessed One, who sees all with the divine eye, said to the Shravakas: Somya, this is for the worlds together with the gods, and together with the demons, and for the beings together with the scholars and Brahmins, together with gods, humans, and asuras, called the teacher, Buddha, Blessed One, who knows all as it is, who sees all, is teaching the Dharma to all these worlds, initially good, in the middle good, finally good, solely with good meaning and good words, completely perfect, completely pure, what is being taught is that one will definitely attain Nirvana. What are they? These are form. These are the origin of form. These are the cessation of form. These are the paths leading to the cessation of form. This is the one who teaches you, for the sake of the Dharma of the gods, and for the sake of benefit and happiness, this body has come to the realm of the gods of no conflict. Then, after hearing a little of what was said, the lord of no conflict, Somya, said this: Our teacher, I will draw near to, how should I make offerings to him? We do not know much about these histories of offerings. Then that scholar said to Somya: Draw near to the Tathagata. When Somya draws near, also be without headdress and ornaments, and with well-tamed demeanor, with the senses subdued, and the mind calmed, with the knees of the knees placed separately on the ground, prostrate with the head like a king, expose one shoulder of the Dharma robe, and with the head bowed down, stand before the Blessed One. All those gods with well-opened senses walk together in front of that scholar.

Therefore, having well understood the meaning of these, the ruler of the non-contenders, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of gods, without head ornaments, abandoning all decorations and splendid attire, with a mind that is extremely subdued, well-tamed, and peaceful, the Blessed One abides on the heart of the great lotus, surrounded by the assembly of hearers, like the moon surrounded by a multitude of stars, and like the king of mountains, Mount Sumeru, surrounded on all sides, and like the ocean surrounded by great lakes, like a wheel-turning king surrounded by eighty-four great kings, and like the sun surrounded by rays of light. Thus, the Blessed One, surrounded by the assembly of hearers, shining with incomparable splendor and light, clearly abides on the heart of the lotus. Then, Soumyo, the ruler of the non-contenders, came to where the Blessed One was, placed his palms together at the crown of his head, and sat to one side. Then, he requested the Blessed One, saying: Have you separated from negligence and as it is? Then, to Soumyo who was dwelling above, the Blessed One Golden Sage, with the characteristic of a deep and vast voice, filled the entire world of non-contenders as it is, and spoke thus: Soumyo, I shall explain the Dharma as it is, initially good, in the middle good, and finally good, only with good meaning, beautiful words, completely perfect, completely pure, completely cleansed, the Brahmachariya, I shall explain well. Remember it well and listen, and I shall explain, thus he spoke. The god listened to the Blessed One's teaching. The Blessed One spoke to the gods, including Soumyo, thus: With nine causes, nine conditions, and nine reasons, if one relies on, becomes accustomed to, and repeatedly practices negligence, then all foolish beings will be destroyed and ruined, and after the body is destroyed, they will also fall into bad destinies in an improper way.

They go to the place of battle. Then, gods and non-gods will engage in battle in the ocean. When those who possess Dharma and follow Dharma arise, the gods who move everywhere quickly defeat the non-gods. After the gods defeat the non-gods, they then go to the place where the lord of the non-gods, Rahu, is. Then, those non-gods dwelling in the second non-god abode, seeing their own side manifestly defeated, say, "If we engage in battle here, why do the non-gods flee? Why do the non-gods flee?" Then, the non-gods again rush to where the gods are in battle. Then, gods and non-gods in the midst of the ocean engage in a great battle of mutual harm. Then, when the gods are victorious, the gods manifestly defeat the army of the non-gods. At that time, the non-gods dwelling in a place surrounded by fear go to where the gods are. Then, the gods, seeing that unbearable army of non-gods, settle down. Then, the non-gods again go to where the gods are to engage in battle, and those great battles are waged against each other. Then, when the gods are defeated, the protectors of the world go to where the gods holding whisks in their hands are, saying, "The non-gods are manifestly afflicting us, run! Run!" Having heard this, the gods holding whisks in their hands go to where the non-gods are to engage in battle. Then, those gods holding whisks in their hands, with various weapons and implements, go to where the non-gods are. Then, having manifestly seen those gods, the non-gods again rush forth in anger. Then, the gods holding whisks in their hands and those non-gods wage a great battle of mutual entanglement, and they manifestly declare that this battle between gods and non-gods is unparalleled. When beings who possess Dharma and follow Dharma arise, the gods holding whisks in their hands.
