Bound by the net of sinful actions, one wanders in the cycles of existence. Virtuous actions cause rebirth as gods and humans. Non-virtuous actions cause rebirth in hell, as hungry ghosts, and as animals. Therefore, those foolish and heedless should not dwell in heedlessness. If one desires not to be without attainment. Why is that? Because life, enjoyment, and existence are impermanent, so keep these in mind and do not dwell in heedlessness. By what cause of heedlessness do hundreds and thousands of gods fall? Therefore, one should not go about in any way with heedlessness. These are the paths of fools, not of noble beings. For all who are born are certainly faced with death. Likewise, there is old age, likewise, there are diseases, likewise, there is separation from suffering, likewise, there is the unavoidable experience of virtuous and non-virtuous actions, which always follow and destroy all living beings. Then, at that time, the Blessed One spoke these verses to the gods: On the tree of heedlessness, three branches grow vigorously: old age, sickness, and death, always abide upon it. A person endowed with virtuous conduct is not harmed by old age, etc. The wise one always abides, never grows old through heedlessness. Always destroying faults, and not holding heedlessness as supreme. He is liberated from faults and fears, and attains unsurpassed bliss. Whatever happiness is done through heedlessness, that is fearful and ultimately not good. Whoever is completely liberated from that, his happiness is constant and unchanging. Hundreds of thousands of billions, all are ruined by heedlessness. Even so, the king of men walks, he also abides only in the beginning. Even on the four reversed views, heedlessness abides on top. That abiding heedlessness also destroys the four enemies of the world. In whom there are many diverse thoughts, the abyss of many fears, the suffering of wandering in samsara, is the deed of heedlessness. By being separated from one heedlessness, there is no changing happiness.

Attained. All dharmas and the undefiled, are destroyed by negligence. The negligence of the gods, is to rise higher and higher. Because of negligence, all the gods are ignorant, how can they enter Nirvana? They pondered this deeply, contemplating with various discriminations, how to walk without suffering? Thus, benefiting me becomes harmful. What is the pleasure of the gods? And what is slightly diminished? They all know that these are impermanent, and these arise from fabrication. Whatever is gathered in fabrication, is sure to be destroyed. Arising and destruction, impermanence is happiness, constant suffering is fortunate. A man is ruined by negligence, whoever thinks like that in his mind, they all experience separation, and are oppressed by suffering. Thus, in various ways, the Blessed One, in order to tame Somya, with the eye of the world, surrounded by the assembly of gods, tamed him, and also made the negligent ones aware. By what unbearable bond do the gods lose their autonomy and fall? Then, the king of the gods, in front of the Blessed One, having heard the teachings spoken by them, together with twenty thousand gods, entered the stream. Then, the Blessed One thought: If I do the work of taming, what other work remains that can benefit others? Then, the Blessed One, who knows the future, thought again: What should I do, what will benefit sentient beings, make them happy, and bring an end to suffering in the future? Then, the Blessed One again, in the lotus, with miraculous power,

It will become. When will it go to the lands of the garden? It will go to that great lotus on that gentle and high mountain. It will be well seated in the heart essence. I will go to that place where there is emanated light, and because it has a noisy sound, it will look well at this inside. It will emerge from this great lotus of supreme joy. It will also enter again. It will also make the other gods understand well. There, which gods, through hearing, manifest the joyful Dharma, those explanations will arise, and there they will be made to understand. Those who, merely through hearing, will obtain great joy towards the Buddha, the Bhagavan Musulinda. That great faith in the Buddha will end suffering. Moreover, because great joy has arisen, before long, one called Shakyamuni will appear. They will listen to the Dharma in the presence of that Buddha, the Bhagavan. There, these Musulinda hearing lineages, we have heard these before in the presence of the gods, and however we have heard them, just as we have heard them, all of this has become very wonderful. These that we have well shown, this birth of the Bhagavan that you saw in the great lotus, is the unsurpassed Shakyamuni. Therefore, without doubt, listen to the Dharma! As the Bhagavan has said, just like that, you will certainly obtain good results. From those gods, Musulinda, through hearing, arose genuine joy, and well-arisen reverence, just as the lineage I have heard, these sutras spoken by Golden Light Buddha, even so, cause extreme satisfaction in the hearts of the gods, if I were to hear the words of the Dharma directly in the presence of the Bhagavan, what need is there to mention the views? Having understood in this way, together with eighty thousand gods, when he goes to the place called Varanasi, he is satisfied merely by looking at the Bhagavan.
