Seeing them blazing with glory in this way, the Asuras became extremely discouraged, and the king of the Asuras said this: Why are you discouraged? Are these beings more glorious than us? Whether it be weapons, tools, or strength, for the most part there is no superiority. Why are you discouraged by them? Then, having heard those words, Rahu and other Asuras returned to the place where the gods were. Then, all those beings whose bodies were increased by the Dharma quickly ran to the place where the Asuras were. The gods and Asuras mingled with each other and began to fight. Among them, Rahu remained with great strength, like a second Mount Meru. Through the power of the Dharma, he was defeated by the gods. Among protectors, the Dharma protector is the best. Among lights, the Dharma light is the best. Then, having seen the defeated Asuras, such as Rahu, all the discouraged Asuras sighed again and said this: Asuras, why do you flee? Why do these Asuras dwell in a bad place? The gods are not heroes among the many Asuras, they do not carry tools, nor are they frightened by weapons, so return, and dwell! What harm can these beings cause? Then, having heard those words, the Asuras returned to battle. Then, again praised and pleased by him, those filled with pride waged war in the place where the gods were, and then fled again.
