One should not take what is not given by the owner of the land. Then, in what field should one give alms? If one offers a lamp with a mind that is preceded by the right view, cultivating a good mind for the purpose of worshiping the Buddha and listening to the Dharma, then, having separated from the body, among the gods of the thirty-three heavens in the realm of happy migrations, one will be born in the place of the gods of supreme glory. Having been born there, one will also experience the fruits in accordance with the cause, having done better than that which is greatly beautiful with a garland of glory. The ears will repeatedly hear the sweet sounds of the five instruments. The nose will also repeatedly smell the fragrance of the Mandarava flower, the lotus, the blue Utpala, and the seven jewels. The tongue will constantly drink the delicious taste of nectar and the ambrosia of the gods. The eyes will also see the various aspects of the mountain valleys and the forms of the seven jewels. The body will also wear the unsewn garments of the gods, which have a very fragrant touch, and will touch the lotus, the Utpala leaves, the flower garlands, and the various perfumes. In this way, one will enjoy the fruits of those deeds that have been done better than that. Surrounded by thousands of goddesses, one will experience the supreme bliss in gardens and forests like pure gold, in places where the sound of bells and chimes resounds loudly, and in places where the clusters of silver branches are moved by the wind. When the gods sing, one will hear the sounds of the zither, the drum, the flute, and the sweet songs.
