Like rain, it falls well. Various kinds of nets of bells and chimes cover it. Many kinds of birds fly from all directions, emitting thousands of pleasant sounds. That pleasure garden is covered by various kinds of deities. Those deities and the garden are mutually beautiful. In the center of that garden, there is a mountain called the Playful Mountain, which is a mountain made of seven precious jewels. There are also various kinds of precious jewel deer there. They are so beautiful, like this: the sides are red like the color of a red lotus, the back is white like silver, the belly is yellow like gold, the legs are coral, and the horns are like crystal. Some have harmonious colors, the whole body is the color of silver, and some are the color of gold. Thus, in that garden, the various forms of the bodies of the wandering deer make it beautiful in every way. They enjoy themselves together with the assembly of gods, and those deer also sing together with the goddesses. As they sing, the goddesses also sing songs that are very harmonious, pleasant, and supremely pleasing. Those gods, having been delighted in various ways for a long time, then wander together in another flowing river. On the summit of Mount Meru, in that river called the Medicine River, they ride on various kinds of vehicles, closely take up songs with five kinds of musical instruments, possess sacred desires, are very happy, possess excellent virtues, and proceed forward. Having arrived there, they also rejoice in the rivers, streams, and on the summit of Mount Meru in the Medicine River. In the rivers, in the streams, and in the lotus ponds, the sounds of music are heard, and they dwell in great satisfaction. Always playing, always happy, always vast, filled with assemblies of gods and goddesses who are in harmony with each other. Anointed with garlands of flowers, powders, and perfumes, with heads adorned with lotus garlands, they rejoice. Those who have been transformed by well-performed actions follow their power and their respective paths. They are in harmony with the gods, enjoying unparalleled bliss. There, this is merely showing one aspect, and everything is not

It cannot be expressed in words, because the happiness of the gods cannot be described, and the happiness of the gods is so different and unparalleled. Arising from the cause of good deeds, relying on the corresponding category, they experience so many pleasures. Those who delight in the five desirable qualities will be happy there as long as the karma of pleasant desires they have created and accumulated has not been exhausted, abandoned, and depleted. Then, they will die from the realm of the gods, and after death, as karma leads them, they will be reborn in hell, among the hungry ghosts, and among the animals. If they share a common destiny with humans and are reborn among humans, then they will always enjoy great happiness, living in secluded places, living in the mountains and forests, possessing great splendor and vast wealth, and even becoming kings or great ministers. Then, the monk, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, will contemplate the abode of the gods of the Thirty-Three. Through the knowledge gained from hearing, he sees how the abode of the gods, called "supreme splendor," exists. He wonders, what kind of beings will be born there? Through the knowledge gained from hearing, he observes how they exist: virtuous beings, with vast wisdom, who give alms, do good deeds, keep the seven kinds of precepts, do not associate with evil friends, do not keep precepts with sins, and also do good deeds as they should, focusing on one thing only, and having a nature of honesty, with a color like refined gold. If asked how many kinds of precepts they have kept, it is this: they have abandoned killing and taking what is not given. When he participates in a great battle, out of respect for the precepts, he would rather give up his life than kill. This is abandoning killing. Then, how is it considered abandoning taking what is not given? This person can even topple the top of a mountain, destroy the enemy's army, and plunder the wealth of all beings, but even if he is starving and thirsty and facing death, he will not break his vows.
