Then. Whoever upholds these precepts, firmly knowing the very nature of discipline, goes among the gods. Thus, the newly born god, as soon as he is born, remembers his past lives, and even though his mastery of the realms has become wisdom, he speaks with the mind that has been cultivated and accustomed from before. Then, seeing and realizing that the newly born one is very young and sits like something pure, those goddesses run to that god, just as bees who want to drink the nectar of flowers run to the flowers themselves, the goddesses holding hand drums and various kinds of musical instruments, others holding flutes and clay drums, their bodies anointed with flower garlands, powders, and unguents, holding flower garlands, and others visibly showering flowers. Others sing and are beautiful like dancers. They all run to that god. Thus, adorned with various ornaments and garments, endowed with various forms, skilled in various rituals, wearing various garments, possessing various forms, each surpassing the other in beauty and endowed with excellent features, those goddesses, having observed the newly born god a hundred or a thousand times, abandon the former dying gods and run to the newly born god, the pleasing one, just as those who are very thirsty abandon a dried-up lake and run to a lake full of cool, sweet water. All those goddesses, never satisfied with desire for the newly born one, rushed forth. Then, the newly born god, having heard the sound of their ornaments, his mind becomes distracted by desire. If he sees their faces and their behavior, what need is there to say more? Likewise, his mind is distracted by the five-limbed musical instruments and those ornaments, and he forgets as if he has lived a hundred million lifetimes. Thus is the nature of the gods: the very state of the gods is a place of heedlessness. Then, the newly born god, surrounded by those goddesses skilled in coquetry, his mind shows unrighteous desire everywhere.

Being so distracted by those words, dwelling very carelessly, being completely under the control of those things in this way and that way. Surrounded by those, obtaining all desires, obtaining happiness never before experienced, with a very satisfied mind, he goes to where those goddesses are. He is also attended by those, laughing, playing, speaking, walking from that very path with swollen pride. Just as a bird is caught in a net, those caught in the net of universal desire, being completely caught by those nets, are led to where those extremely beautiful ones are, and he sees the land of the seven jewels, which he has never seen before, which is extremely delightful, and sees the land of the seven jewels shining, which is extremely captivating. Then again, in those places, wearing various kinds of divine garlands and clothes, experiencing various kinds of happiness and delight for a long time, he walks, singing songs with five kinds of musical instruments, in a place called the Joyful Grove. When that god goes to that grove, reveling with those goddesses, he sees birds dwelling in various colors, shapes, postures, and forms, emitting extremely pleasant sounds, and appearing in various forms. Those birds are also under the control of those female birds; wherever those go, these birds also go under the control of those. Similarly, wherever those people dwell in the garden, those birds also dwell there. Wherever there is flower wine, those people drink, and those birds also drink there. Wherever the body enters into the thickets of flowers, those birds also enter there in the same way. Abandoning which places, they go to the sky, and those birds also go there. Which fruits those people eat with their beaks, those birds also eat those same fruits in the same way. They go to dwell in which lotus grove, and those birds also go together with those people to the lotus pond in that direction. The birds who enjoy together go to which mountain peak, and those birds are like being tied with a rope around their necks.

Therefore, they are controlled by those (women) and go along with them. Similarly, female bees fly to the crevices of lotuses, and male bees also fly, and female deer also control the male deer. Goddesses also control the gods. They are like lakes filled with water in the summer, bound by extremely loose and difficult-to-untie bonds. Recognizing that all of this is controlled by women, that monk spoke in verse as follows: Among ropes, this is tight, Thus, the rope of women is inferior. Those who are bound by this, Run about in the prison of existence. The rope that binds the neck is not a true rope, The rope of the heart, the woman, is unbearable. Those who are bound by the rope of the heart, Are destined for suffering. A rope can be burned and cut, But the rope of a woman cannot be burned. In hells, among hungry ghosts and animals, One goes and follows along. When embodied beings gather, A great rope binds them. Likewise, this bodiless mind, Is bound by the rope of a woman. Whatever binds beings, That rope can be measured. The binding of a woman is great, That cannot be known by measure. This is but temporary joy, And difficult to be liberated from all, Those who are bound by the rope, Are not liberated from the ocean of existence. Whether the rope binds the neck or the body, If it does not bind, it does not matter. This great rope of a woman, Binds all six senses. Whatever is iron or wood or hemp, This binding is not praised by the noble ones. Whatever is seen in women of inferior wisdom, The mind of all attachment, Is said to be tight. Thus, that monk rebuked desire. Thereafter, that god, bound by the rope of all joy by those excellent women, was led to groves and nearby groves, where all sorts of delightful things, which are not easy to exemplify, were found. Then, as that god enjoyed himself in such joy, sometimes he would go to the lotus grove, called the swan lotus grove, surrounded by a host of goddesses. That lotus grove was also surrounded by a multitude of gods and goddesses, rejoicing.
