Then a hundredfold joy arose in their hearts. The wonderful grape wine, rich in color, aroma, and taste, came from the dense foliage. Thinking of drinking those, we should generate tenfold joy. Then those gods, holding vessels of lapis lazuli, squeezed those grape wines. They offered each other drinks, saying: Please enjoy this grape wine as you wish. Like that, as they drank, for as long as one had given charity or kept vows, for that long the wine would have color, aroma, and taste, possessing special qualities. Then, realizing that the wine was especially delicious, those gods who had given little charity or kept few vows knew that their wine was not delicious, and they felt extremely ashamed. Knowing their extreme shame, they went into the leaves of those trees called Bird Leaf and those used in Grape Wine Enjoyment. Those who constantly drank grape wine spoke in these verses: Those intoxicated by drinking too much, Beings controlled by ignorance, With the noose of ignorance clearly visible, Drink with the taste of craving. The noose of ignorance is wine, After drinking, Yama urges them on. They fall from the heavens into hell, Therefore, do not touch wine. From seeing, touching, and holding, Wine makes people deluded. Therefore, it is a universal noose, One should abandon it far away. From seeing, attachment arises, From touching, aroma arises, From aroma, attachment to taste arises, Ultimately, one is led by the tastes. If one is dependent on wine, Then name and form will be destroyed. Inside the noose, ultimately, Is wine, so the wise say. Speech, eyes, and actions, Are great sources of confusion. The ignorant, deluded by confusion, Cannot accomplish anything. That person who falls to the ground, Even women will mock. Like a motionless, dry tree, He falls to the ground without moving. Those who are accustomed to drinking wine, Will be proclaimed as about to die. It is worse than the Hala Hala poison, It is even worse than the noose of death. Constantly drinking wine, Has thirty-six faults. Therefore, whoever knows the faults, Will completely abandon wine. Of noble birth

For the wise, it becomes a great stain. For people, like the flowers of kasha grass, it only becomes frivolous. Since even those birds, having become animals, curse those gods, what need is there to mention other gods? Then, those gods who have become as they are through the seeds of well-done deeds, having drunk the honey-colored wine, rich in fragrance and taste, and those of inferior, middling, and excellent quality, go to abide in the place called 'Eternal Grove,' and the sound of sweet music fills their ears, and their minds are exceedingly joyful, and those adorned with garlands of blue utpala flowers go. From that Eternal Grove, filled with assemblies of gods and goddesses, exceedingly joyful, dwelling in mutual satisfaction, those whose bodies are adorned with golden light quickly go to the Cloud Grove. Then, in order to encourage those gods who go to the Cloud Grove, abiding in joy, without heed, Indra, riding the elephant called 'Son of Earth Protector, Completely Victorious,' adorned with hundreds of thousands of ornaments, goes to the place called Cloud Grove with an assembly of gods and goddesses filled with exceeding joy. Then, those gods, seeing Indra, the king of gods, with minds full of reverence, praising Indra with all their hair knots, flower garlands, and ornamental garlands, uttering the sounds of various instruments and sweet songs, dance and move gracefully before Indra. Indra, the king of gods, likewise riding the elephant, son of the earth protector, makes those gods exceedingly joyful with sweet words. Then, Indra, having dwelt and sported joyfully among those gods for a while, spoke thus to those gods: 'Thus, you gods who enjoy the fruits of well-done deeds, in order for me to conquer the Asuras who have become fat and angry, rejoice until you go to the Grove of Joy!' Then, having heard those words of Indra, the gods said, 'Thus, O god, we also go in order to conquer those Asuras who have become fat.' Then, Indra
