Thus, everything depends on the Dharma. At that time, if the Nagas are defeated, those wandering gods will say: 'Friends, in order to obstruct the power of the Asuras, call out!' Then, those wandering gods, tormented by anger, while exhaling hot breath, will say to the gods of the Four Great Kings: 'O gods, the Asura side is now powerful, and the Nagas are defeated. For the Asuras to victoriously arrange the battlefield, call out loudly!' Those sons of the wandering gods, and upon seeing that hot breath, the logicians will say: 'Like this, a long smoke tail has appeared, it will be a year of good harvest! It will be a year of bad harvest! Good rain will fall! Good rain will not fall!' Add as before. This is the second reason for showing a long smoke tail. At that time, if the gods, Nagas, and Yakshas are victorious, good rain will fall and it will be a year of good harvest. At that time, diseases will not occur, and there will be no armed conflicts. Proclaim to the world. All the faults that arise from not understanding in this way will turn into the strange and peculiar thoughts of heretics. When the Asuras subdue the Nagas, then the Four Great Kings proclaim this sound to the Four Great Generals: May Dharma win, may non-Dharma not win! May truth win, may falsehood not win! May the gods win, may the Asuras not win! May light win, may darkness not win! May generosity win, may stinginess not win! May discipline win, may killing not win! May the Buddha win, may heretics not win! May stability win, may instability not win! May righteousness win, may deception not win! May compassion win, may mercilessness not win! May loving-kindness win, may anger not win! May Indra win, may the Asuras not win! May the upper win, may the lower not win! May satiation win, may hunger not win! May wisdom win, may ignorance not win! May action win, may inaction not win! May diligence win, may laziness not win! May men win, may women not win! May elders win, may children not win! May patience win, may hatred not win! May people win, may the destructive Nagas and so on not win! May day win, may night not win! May the moon win, may the planets not win! May crops win, may hail not win! May happiness win, may unhappiness not win! May health win, may diseases become the great path! May gentleness win, may harshness not win! May liberation win, may bondage not win! May reason win, may unreason not win! May all the cherished ones be completely victorious! May the uncherished ones be destroyed at all times! If beings who do not consider themselves shramanas and brahmins appear, the gods prepare to wage war together with them. After they fought for a short time, the gods defeated them.
