Ro! Therefore, the excellent lamp of a noble person, will not fall into a dangerous abyss. Like a constantly stainless jewel, like one whose mind is always pure, that one is peaceful, selfless, and steadfast, and goes among the gods. Meditation, discipline, and samadhi, whoever diligently cultivates in their mind, that steadfast one is like gold, and goes among the gods. Abandoning the taking of life and so forth, having supreme compassion for all beings, loving, upright, and peaceful ones, go among the gods. Speaking gently to all the world, completely abandoning hatred, not being defiled by sinful dharmas, go among the gods. For whom grass and gold are the same, who sees desire as poison, that steadfast one who has abandoned desire, goes among the gods. The cause of desire, the pleasing object, cannot lead astray whoever that may be, that one transcends the fearful solitary place, and goes among the gods. Friends, relatives, roots, and those who are mutually discordant, whoever greatly reconciles them, goes among the gods. Having been drawn from the swamp of desire and eliminating faults, whoever always wishes happiness for all beings, that one is stainless, peaceful, and liberated in mind, and thus destroys the power of Mara. Whoever's mind abides in mastery, and does not go under the control of the mind, that one completely conquers enemies, and goes among the gods. All actions of the body are virtuous, separated from sin and possessing happiness, that one is a meditator who has abandoned desire, and goes among the gods. Completely abandoning sinful friends, completely liberated from the net of craving, not bound by the net of women, goes among the gods. Whoever strives greatly in the Dharma, possessing generosity, discipline, and samadhi, steadfast in wisdom and constantly diligent, goes among the gods. Just as with a sword one cuts a rope, whoever cuts the bonds, that one has cut the rope of self-mastery, and goes among the gods. Not defiled by the stain of desire, without greed, having abandoned and destroyed all faults, separated from craving, innocent, stainless, a steadfast being, enjoys the fruits of their actions, and goes to the heavens. Whatever being becomes a human, having perfected virtue and practiced much good, by the ripening of karma,

The city called "Profound" is eight thousand yojanas in extent. In that city dwells the lord of the Asuras, called "Flower Garland." Those Asuras are also called "Those Who Dwell in Play." That profound city is also endowed with many kinds of jewels, as well as groves, forests, pavilions, and very many lotus ponds. Emitting beautiful sounds And, like this, the second garden is called Golden Garland, where golden trees grow, the third garden is called Fire Garland, where fire-like trees grow, bearing red fruits, and the fourth garden is called Mixed Garden, where flowers and fruits are mixed to decorate it. These four gardens decorate the deep city of the Asuras. Where the Asuras dwell together with their playmates, they dwell in harmony and bliss with the gods. Those who dwell in this way adorn their bodies with flower garlands, powders, and perfumes, and are constantly in merriment, joy, play, leaping, and laughter, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of Asura daughters. The lord of the Asuras is protected by flower garlands, and constantly plays in the gardens. Every part of their bodies is adorned with various jewels. The lord of the Asuras dwells firmly in the second abode. An Asura named Jambha was sent to the Asura Flower Garland. Like this, in the human world, all these people are those who hold to their mothers, those who hold to others, those who hold to virtuous practices, those who hold to Brahmins, and those who are helpful to what has been done. Those who dwell in this way, through powerful people, the gods become powerful. Therefore, we and all including the Nagas must strive to create obstacles to the sacred Dharma of the gods and humans. Having heard these as before, the lord of the Asuras, Flower Garland, dwelling in the third abode, was very displeased and said: These enemies of ours, the gods, depend on humans, so we must create obstacles between gods and humans. Then, the Asuras, playing and dwelling, adorned their bodies with various weapons and armor, and those who were extremely adorned went to the place where the Nagas dwell and have enjoyment. Then, having heard those sounds of the Asuras, the son of the great Naga king Wealth Increase, and Wish-Fulfilling Jewel and others, whose bodies emitted lightning flashes, those who were extremely adorned rained down many lightnings like rain, and then hundreds of thousands of Nagas appeared from the middle of the ocean. Then, the Asu
