Not harming others. Always respecting parents, always being unswerving and joyful towards the Dharma. Respecting the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Whoever does not kill, does not steal, and does not allow others to do so, and does not rejoice in it. Prevents others from doing evil. Does not boast, and even if done, rebukes it. Truly explains the results of karma. Showing the truth to others, greatly praising what good deeds have been done. Devoting oneself to the path of virtue, And then also causing others to do so. Also rejoicing in what has been done. One also abandons killing and stealing, and encourages others to devote themselves to the same. Through two paths of good deeds, for those who have not taken vows, one teaches them to take vows; for those who have taken vows, one teaches them to strengthen their vows. Whether oneself or others, having done good deeds, one will be reborn in the heavens. Suppose someone asks, how many ways are there to abandon killing? Here, one does not create the evil karma of killing. What is the way? How many kinds are there? Here, recognizing other sentient beings as sentient beings, one does not harm small insects, ants, etc., and does not kill. Here, what is not killing? Preventing the use of tricks to capture mice, marmots, voles, or deer, etc. How many kinds of tricks are there? Here, one captures with things like traps, or by covering holes, or with grass nets, or with ropes, or with snares, or with sticky nets, or with pitfalls. After capturing, one also prevents killing, and does not truly rejoice, does not boast, like this, one dissuades from killing the lives of beings, and also devotes oneself to the Dharma. Those ways are to prevent sentient beings who are truly attached to killing. If asked, what is it like to abandon taking what is not given? Here, even a blade of grass, one does not steal with a stealing mind, and one also prevents others from stealing. How many ways are there? Here, taking what is not given

Some people enjoy that. If you want to know how many ways there are, it is that at the stupa, playing music with women, others dancing, others singing, others fully enjoying, laughing, playing, indulging in joy. For those who are extremely joyful, The monasteries and guardians of the sangha without Dharma, or playing music, or those who live by the stupa. Taking from those who play music, or taking without giving, or taking in other ways without giving. Here, the reward is that those women receive rewards, and after giving rewards, they call them to engage in sexual activity, and after engaging in sexual activity, they do not give the reward as previously agreed. Also, taking without giving in other ways, such as obtaining a livelihood from fishermen, hunters, or butchers, giving a reward but not giving it. If killing and taking without giving in this form of reward, then those actions should not be done, and even if they are done, one should not rejoice, and one should not even contemplate them in one's mind. Giving, what kind of giving is it? Even if life is very difficult, one attains the third dhyana, or gives to others and performs meritorious deeds. Even if one is so poor, one gives to others, just as one gives to others, one does not give consciousness to one's own son with respect. That is how giving is done. What is it like to abandon killing and fully enter into discipline? Here, when sweeping with a broom, if small animals die as a result, one stops it and pours water there, and those small animals that have been brought to land are also put back in the place where the broom has swept. Those are the ones who do not kill and fully enter into virtue. The noble person who has done these two virtuous deeds, after separating from the body, will be reborn in the happy realm, among the gods of the Thirty-Three Heavens. After being born there, he also makes good use of the end of karma, being completely attached to all desires, which is the fivefold celestial music.

When the melodious sound that I possess arises, the various retinues of goddesses will surround me, and I will experience unparalleled bliss. To give a simple example here, it is like a Chakravartin king, becoming a golden Chakravartin king, extremely happy, dwelling on the seat of the gods, but even he cannot compare to one-sixteenth of the bliss of the gods. This is because the gods are without flesh, bones, and pus, without stinginess, their eyes neither close nor open, without dust on their clothes, without the mixture of smoke and earwax, without excrement and urine, and they have their own light. The Chakravartin king is not like that. The gods are without attachment to their sons and wives, without jealousy, without attachment to their own food and drink, without sleep and drowsiness, but the Chakravartin king is not like that. In this way, the Chakravartin king cannot compare to even one-sixteenth of the gods. Therefore, this is a simple analogy for the human level. Thus, the gods possess and are endowed with the merits of the five desires, and they play and abide. The gods born there, their garden is called Kābīra, which is ten yojanas in length and five yojanas in width, surrounded by various kinds of golden birds everywhere, and decorated with spots of gorocana everywhere. Then, that garden is adorned with beautiful flowers, and decorated with trees of the seven precious substances. The birds dwelling in those trees are very beautiful. For example, goldsmiths decorate people's ornaments with various kinds of jewels and patterns of various kinds of trees, making them beautiful. Similarly, that garden of the gods and those trees are very beautiful, and decorated with various shapes and colors of birds. This is just a similar analogy. Then, those gods again play with each other in that very garden with various kinds of lotuses, like this: everywhere they play with the petals, stamens, filaments, and leaves of lapis lazuli. Which petals
