In a peaceful place, he will be reborn as a king or a great minister, in all the perfect palaces adorned with jewels, he will always have great happiness. He will see the joy of the king, the joy of all people, and the abundance of sons, wealth, and grain. Then, the monk, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, will contemplate the abode of the thirty-three gods. Through the knowledge gained from hearing, he sees how the practice called "universal manifestation in the abodes of the gods" exists. There, he wonders, which beings will be born here? When he examines with the knowledge gained from hearing, he finds that noble people, those who practice virtue, do not kill, do not steal, do not rejoice, and even if others do, they prevent and condemn it. If someone asks, how many ways are there to correctly show the ripening of the fruits of sinful actions, that is, the karma of killing? To this, even seeing green leaves, or extremely small worms in the water, he will not eat, nor will he drink water. He will completely filter the water, and even after filtering, he will not shake the water filter on the dry ground, but will place those worms in the water where they will not die. Furthermore, he will take great care of them, and will also make others do so, and abide in the path of virtue, and make it firm. How is stealing avoided? How many ways are there? To this, even if it is a sugarcane garden, or a mango, or a madhulunga fruit, or a tamalaputraka, or a jackfruit, or a nadikera, or other aquatic fruits owned by others, he will not think of taking them as his own nursery with a stealing mind, or to make the garden pleasant, or to enjoy pleasure, or as a source of greed, or for commercial gain, he will not take even a single seed, and will also prevent others from doing so. He will also make others do so, and will also firmly establish it on the path of virtue. This is beneficial to oneself and beneficial to others, guarding the precepts, not stealing.

Having abandoned the faults, it is to have correctly taken up the precepts. Furthermore, how does one seek discipline from abstaining from killing and stealing, and how does one abide in discipline? For example, this person is afflicted with a severe and unbearable disease caused by worms, and even if there is a risk of death, they think, 'I must not kill these worms.' Therefore, they do not prepare medicine to kill the worms, nor do they allow others to do so. In this way, even if there is a risk of death, they do not kill the worms. This is to engage in benefiting oneself and others. How does one abandon stealing? It is not taking even the smallest thing that is not given. Furthermore, giving is also a form of giving, how many forms are there? For example, having prepared medicine to completely pacify one's own illness, if others see or hear of it, even if one does not claim it as one's own, one thinks, 'May they be happy because of this.' And so one gives it to others. That noble benefactor, having given the ultimate gift of nirvana, after departing from the body, will be born in the happy realms, in the place called 'Universally Clear Enjoyment' among the gods of the Thirty-Three. Having been born there, by that well-done deed, that place is also beautiful, like being illuminated by the light of all jewels. Having been born there, they are honored by goddesses who are very vast and endowed, and they go to the place called 'Grove of Melodious Sounds,' which is filled with various kinds of pleasant sounds. The grove called 'Adorned with Birds and Trees' is also closely adorned by them. The power of those birds is such that wherever those birds go in the sky, those trees also go in the sky by the power of those birds. Those gods who dwell on the trees also go in the sky in the same way. In that place, ponds of lotuses will arise for those who dwell on the trees, various lotuses adorned with gold, petals of lapis lazuli, stems of gold, and stamens of silver. The goddesses ascend those lotuses, sit on the heartwood, and sing songs. When they sing songs, by that virtuous deed, between those lotuses will emerge
