再者，比丘如果知道业的果报成熟，他就能观察三十三天诸神的居所。他通过听闻而获得的智慧，能够看到名为“土地庄严”的地方是如何存在的。他心想，哪些众生会投生到那里呢？通过听闻而获得的智慧进行观察，发现那些自己守护戒律，也让别人守护戒律的人；自己不做恶业，也阻止别人作恶业；对过失感到厌倦，并且非常重视戒律。他们自己也守护着无垢且坚定的戒律，以及完全清净的近分戒，并且断除了杀生和不予取。如果问断除杀生有多少种方式，那就是，如果有人因为持戒的约束，而不去挖掘那些居住着众多有情、众多蚂蚁、众多蝎子、众多青蛙、众多栖息在生物栖息地的生物、众多猫鼬的土地，从而不对众生产生损害。对于已经受戒或尚未受戒的人，也会阻止、厌倦、阻止他们这样做，并劝阻他们。那么，如何受持断除不予取的戒律呢？那就是，对于陶工或其他人的财物，不以盗心拿取哪怕是一点点，如果别人拿取，也会阻止他们，非常重视戒律，并且不随喜。像这样，断除了杀生和不予取的贤善之人，奉行戒律，在身亡之后，将会投生到善趣天界的名为“土地庄严”的处所。他们将永远快乐，享受歌舞、欢笑、嬉戏、尽情玩乐，沉浸在欢乐之中。由于自身具有光明，他们将投生到永远充满光明的园林、附近的园林和游乐园等处所。因此，守护良好的戒律，将会投生到天界。善业所带来的果报，其境地非常令人愉悦，并且拥有享用不尽的财富，就像那样，所有的园林都被金丝网紧密连接，铃铛发出悦耳的声音。

Furthermore, if a monk knows the ripening of the fruits of karma, he can contemplate the abodes of the gods of the Thirty-Three. Through the wisdom arising from hearing, he sees how the place called "Land of Beauty" exists. He wonders, which beings will be born there? Through the wisdom arising from hearing, he observes that those who themselves guard the precepts and also cause others to guard the precepts; who themselves do not commit evil deeds and also prevent others from doing so; who are weary of faults and also highly value the precepts. They themselves also guard the stainless and steadfast precepts, and the completely pure preparatory precepts, and have abandoned killing and taking what is not given. If asked how many ways there are to abandon killing, it is that if someone, restrained by the vows, does not dig up the land where many sentient beings, many ants, many scorpions, many frogs, many creatures living in habitats, and many mongooses live, so as not to harm sentient beings. For those who have taken vows or have not taken vows, they also prevent, weary, and stop them from doing so, and dissuade them. Then, how does one uphold the precept of abstaining from taking what is not given? It is that one does not take even a little bit of the property of a potter or others with a thieving mind, and if others take it, one also prevents them, highly values the precepts, and does not rejoice in it. In this way, the virtuous person who has abandoned killing and taking what is not given, practicing the precepts, after death, will be born in the happy realm of the heavens, in the place called "Land of Beauty." They will always be happy, enjoying songs and dances, laughter, play, and revelry, immersed in joy. Because they possess their own light, they will be born in places such as gardens, nearby gardens, and pleasure gardens that are always filled with light. Therefore, guarding good precepts will lead to birth in the heavens. The result of good deeds is that the land is very delightful and possesses inexhaustible wealth to enjoy, just like that, all the gardens are closely connected by golden nets, and the bells make pleasant sounds.

Regarding the appearance of bells and rattles, it is like this: from a great distance, one sees bells and rattles made of lapis lazuli crafted by artisans, and says, "The work is well done, peaceful one, you have come." Like this, one speaks in verses: With a mind of great joy, whoever guards the precepts, he who guards the precepts, happiness dwells here. Having guarded the precepts well, and having done many practices, one will realize perfect joy and nirvana. Precepts protect from the evil realms, precepts lead to the good realms. Therefore, always guard the precepts, it is the coolness of perfection. When death truly comes, the one with precepts has nothing to fear. There is nothing that can protect from the evil realms more than precepts, precepts are the best protection. You, with great precepts, have guarded in all places and times. Those who have come to the realm of the gods, do not be too heedless. Like this, that god, through good deeds, understands the faults of heedlessness through the sound of the bell and rattle. Then, that god who has guarded the precepts for a long time, having understood well, will not be too heedless even for a moment. If someone has not practiced well for many lifetimes, then at that time, he will not be able to understand the meaning of the sound that is emitted.
