The remaining ones climb and stay, and the bodies of those hell beings become endowed with limbs of burning flame necklaces. While climbing, those who are hopeless, extremely miserable, and afflicted by hunger and thirst are burned by white lotuses like torches. They are cooked. They die and are born. The limbs and details of the body are all burned, bodies like those of a kingśuka tree, until his sinful karma is destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted, he will suffer harm for a long time. Afterwards, he will be liberated from that hell. Even after being liberated, for four hundred lifetimes, he will become a hungry and thirsty preta. After being liberated from that, he will also be reborn as an animal for three hundred lifetimes. If, like a turtle's head entering the hole of a yoke, he is reborn as a human being equally with people due to karma to be suffered in other times, then due to practicing wrong views and committing evil deeds, and with the result that is in accordance with that cause, he will be born in places where there are conflicts with weapons, famine, and many thieves. Even after being born there, he will see poverty, disease, being driven by others, suffering, and disability. Then, the monk knows the ripening of the fruit of karma, and observes the surroundings of the great hot hell. With the wisdom arising from hearing, he sees a hell called "snake coiled." He wonders, "By what karma will beings be born there?" When he observes, he knows that whoever kills, takes what is not given, engages in sexual misconduct, drinks alcohol, and lies, constantly cultivates, practices, and increases these, will be born there. Similarly, constantly cultivating, practicing, and increasing wrong views will also cause one to be born there, just like squatting, sitting hunched over, drinking dirty water, and licking one's hands, thinking that one can attain nirvana, greed and hatred.
